I bought a 2021 Sorento back in December and was due for my first service appointment. I remember when I purchased the car they said “we will see you back for your first complimentary oil change. I called my first service appointment. I remember when I purchased the car they said “we will see you back for your first complimentary oil change. I called on 4/14 to book my first service appointment for Saturday 4/24. I was told on the phone a typical service job like this is 30-40 minutes. Sounds good. I showed up this past Saturday 10 minutes early for my noon appointment, only to be told it will be an hour and half wait. Since I planned on it only being 30 minutes I was just going to wait around for it. I couldn’t believe it actually took the full hour and half for an oil and filter change. Other places do the same job in 10-15 minutes. That’s not even the best part, when the service advisor brings my paperwork to the cashier I am informed I have to pay $23 as my car takes full synthetic oil and the “complementary oil change” is only for conventional oil. So I pay the difference. What a bunch of crap. When you sold me the car you knew what oil it takes, so it shouldn’t matter if it’s full synthetic or conventional, complementary is complementary, meaning you cover the full price! Buyers beware as it’s sad you spend 35k and they can’t even cover and oil change. Maybe the sales team and service team need to sync up because that is horrible service!! Bob Rohrman, if you want to make it right, be true to your words and credit me back $23 bucks because again “complementary” means 100% covered by you! More
