I can't say enough good things about Scott Clark Toyota in Matthews. Everytime I go there it's a good experience. Archie in the service department ALWAYS takes good care of me - even when I spring a prob in Matthews. Everytime I go there it's a good experience. Archie in the service department ALWAYS takes good care of me - even when I spring a problem on him with short notice. They have THE MOST COMFORTABLE waiting area that I have ever been in and on certain days you can even get a manicure while you wait! (My sister-in-law in New York is sooo jealous of this!! She always says "Only in the south can you get a manicure at your car dealership!") I love it!! Don't hesitate to go there for any car need!! Buy your car there, get it serviced there... You won't be sorry! Mary Lynn Chew More
Ever since I purchased my Highlander from Scott Clark Toyota I have had Pete Acree as my service advisor. He is a perfect example of why they are called advisors. My Toyota has not had any service prob Toyota I have had Pete Acree as my service advisor. He is a perfect example of why they are called advisors. My Toyota has not had any service problems so the only reason I go in for service is routine maintenance. Pete always takes time to explain what is scheduled and why it should be done. He always has a smile on his face. He is one of the most courteous and friendly people I have ever worked with in a car dealership. I trust Pete to tell me what is best for my vehicle. When I needed to purchase tires I didn't even think about going to a discount dealer or try to buy them from a wholesale club. I called Pete and he helped me make the best choice for my tires. He also explained the advantage of having nitrogen filled tires. After he explained it I understood the advantage. I love the new facility. While waiting to have my car serviced I can choose from one of many waiting areas. I love the quiet fireplace room and each waiting room has a television. The play room for the children is great and they have their own TV as well. They can play inside while the parent sits outside but still has a clear view to watch them carefully. I like the privacy of the business center. You can work on your laptop and not feel everyone is looking over your shoulder. I highly recommend Scott Clark Toyota for sales and service. More
We, came in last Sunday, knowing jusst what we wanted. Looking for a new purchase of a 2010 Rav 4. My husband, had done all the leg work for himself, not to waste his or anyone's time, quickly found a black new Rav. Our salesman, Mario, very efficient, professional, and courteous. Took the new car home, by Friday, noticed oil leaking, by Saturday had it at the Hunterville dealership, closest to our house. We were given a rental, while they searched for the problem. As you can imagine, we were concerned about anything beyond a loose oil filter, their determination, a possible rear seal pinhole in a gasket. The end result. Jimmy, the GM, our salesman Mario, could not have been better, really. No stress, all they wanted was our satisfaction, and that we got, a new car, perfect, Rich loves it, we have owned many Toyota's, I think they're the best, and the men at your dealership, great, thanks so much for your quick attention, I/we would highly recommend your place of business...... The Scott Clark dealership is so friendly, NOT pushy, professional, courteous and very fair in pricing. Once I bought the car, the steps from sales, to finance, to demo of the new vehicle inside and out professional, courteous and very fair in pricing. Once I bought the car, the steps from sales, to finance, to demo of the new vehicle inside and out of the small details went so smoothly. Everything worked like clock-work and John Rotalsky - sales and Corey James - Finance were great and so pleasant to deal with. I would recommend everyone to shop Scott Clarks Toyota first and they won't go anywhere else. I did NOT have to wait, and like I mentioned everything was so scheduled and smooth from department to department. I've never seen another dealership so ORGANIZED !!!! Great customer service and perfection. I rate it a "5" on everything. I would not drive 43 miles one way from Gastonia to Charlotte, if Scott Clark's were not the best dealership. We have one in Gastonia but it doesn't compare to Scott Clark's dealership. More
I FEEL LIKE A KING...I am in sales myself and have responsibility for training salepeople. If I could train these guys in water treatment chemistry, I would take them all. However, I'm not sure that responsibility for training salepeople. If I could train these guys in water treatment chemistry, I would take them all. However, I'm not sure that any of them could spell pH. But they sure know the vehicle industry. Most of all, they fully understand customer service. From the moment that you walk in the door of this dealership, the Scott Clark team focusses all of their effort on ME, the customer. AND.....after I leave, I continue to get emails and vmails from Steve Carlton, reminding me that the Scott Clark team is standing vigilent to assist me in any way that they could. I would highly recommend this team to anyone. AND HIS HIGHNESS WILL. Thanks folks More
We were loyal Toyota customers at Lake Norman. In our past several shopping excursions, Toyota of Lake Norman just didn't seem to care like they used to. We had a good relationship w/ Allen and discover past several shopping excursions, Toyota of Lake Norman just didn't seem to care like they used to. We had a good relationship w/ Allen and discovered that he had moved to Scott Clarks. Before we knew that Allen was at Scott Clarks my husband suggested we shop there. I'm very glad we did. They had a good selection of vehicles to choose from and the service was impeccable! Plus Allen is there!! So we will highly recommend Scott Clarks to our friends and neighbors. More

Last week I drove from my home in Raleigh,NC to Toyota of Goldsboro (50+ miles away) to purchase a 2010 Corolla-S from Tim Woodard. Unfortunately, the deal we agreed upon the previous night was NOT the one Goldsboro (50+ miles away) to purchase a 2010 Corolla-S from Tim Woodard. Unfortunately, the deal we agreed upon the previous night was NOT the one he offered. Instead, he had done some "creative math." Even though I agreed to $13,000 as the trade-in value for my '09 Corolla ($800 less than the Blue Book value), I was not willing to agree to a new car loan that would cost me almost $4,000 more than we had discussed. After a lenghty high pressure job by Mr. Woodard and another salesman, the best they could offer was a trade DOWN to a Yaris with payments only a "little more" than we had agreed upon. This was actually laughable because Mr. Woodard knew that the ONLY reason I was purchasing a new car was to have a vehicle with power locks. Unfortunately, I'd been unable to teach my autistic daughter how to lock the doors of my '09 Corolla and I was concerned about her safety. After leaving the dealership I went home and got back on the internet and "discovered" the Scion tC. After a week of researching deals locally and across the state, I wound up talking to Mike Black at Scott Clark's Scion/Toyota. Even though I knew I looked pretty juvenile, I asked him to PROMISE me that the deal we agreed upon via phone would be honored if I drove the 155+ miles to Scott Clark's the following day. After a a sleepless night and a 3 hour drive, Mike greeted me with a warm hello and a handshake. In the next second I found myself blurting out "Mike, PLEASE tell me there are no surprises." Once again I looked like a juvenile in a 56-year-old body, but taking the risk of looking ridiculous was well worth it. Every aspect of our deal was honored in a very professional manner. Since Scott Clark's has made the car buying process very efficient by having different people handle specific details, I had the pleasure of working with several other employees--enjoying every aspect of our dealings. The end of the story is that I look forward to visiting Scott Clark's in a few years to buy another car. I'm also looking forward to my next visit to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina so I can once again buzz around the back roads like I did for nine years in my Celica. More
This was by far our best car buying experience. Ben had excellent product knowledge, a professional way about making sure we were getting what we wanted and overall a pleasure to work with. he located the excellent product knowledge, a professional way about making sure we were getting what we wanted and overall a pleasure to work with. he located the car that we wanted and followed up at every step along the way until it was delivered. Our sales consultant, Jose H., is a wonderful representative of this dealership. He created an excellent first impression: he listened to our wants and needs, he new the inventory in detail, and representative of this dealership. He created an excellent first impression: he listened to our wants and needs, he new the inventory in detail, and while he encouraged us to make the purchase from Scott Clark Toyota, he did not apply the high pressure tactics that make people dread purchasing a car. We will highly recommend him to our friends and co-workers. We also dealt with Stephen P., Jeffrey S. and Steven C., all of whom worked hard along with Jose H. to encourage us to make our purchase from Scott Clark Toyota. At the end of the day, they made us a deal we couldn't refuse. Our finance representative was Ray C. He approved our financing in a timely manner and assisted us efficiently through the document execution. Our only negative comment would be the overabundance of pressure we felt to agree to execute a maintenance agreement in addition to everything else. We listened to the initial pitch regarding agreement options, as we appreciate that the fact that it is part of his responsibility to explain in detail why these programs might be beneficial to us. However, even after we stated that we were not interested in any of the options, he continued to pursue it. We would recommend that in the future, the financial representative be better able to access the probability of the client's desire to potentially purchase a maintenance program or not. We believe it should have been obvious after our first refusal that we were not going to be talked into accepting any programs. As a whole our experience at Scott Clark Toyota was excellent and we are delighted with our new Highlander! We will highly recommend this dealership to others. More
