Good Morning, I spoke to our service department, and have been told that Amanda will be reaching out to you if she has not done so already. The issue is that the battery warranty applies only to batteries purchased by the customer. Because Scranton Motors paid for your vehicle's battery back in 2018, the warranty is technically not applicable. However, as a gesture of goodwill, our Service Director has authorized a replacement for you at no cost (other than the labor to install). Your response is like putting salt in a wound. Since I was denied a battery replacement by Scranton Service, I had to purchase a new battery which I did on March 8,2021 @ a cost of $162.70. Scranton should have reached out earlier to address this exceptionally poor customer service and their integrity to a long standing customer. Our Cadillac was purchased from them originally. Please keep in mind that the battery ( with a 42 month non-prorated warranty) was installed by Scranton 2018, even though I had purchased a brand new battery at the time. When it came time to settle the bill for the long complicated service, I asked for my original battery be reinstalled for their was no problem with it. I was told that it was discarded. Scranton never gave me a warranty for the battery they installed. That is no fault of my own. They should therefore reimburse me for the battery I recently had to purchase! Thank you! I have not been contacted by Amanda as of 3/24/.2021.
