Felt welcomed and paid attention to I have been without a car since February, and focussed on saving money to get a car with no payment, "Cash Car". I didn't wake up that morning thinking I was going to buy a car, but after looking online, and doing a short phone chat, I decided to stop by the dealer and look at my 2008 Saturn Vue in person. Dominic met us at the door as if he was expecting me from our phone conversation. He spoke so highly of the 2008 Vue, I felt like I could trust his honest input of the car. Not to mention, I was probably buying the cheapest car on the lot, but have never felt more special and taken care of. Dominic never made me feel cheap, or my business was not appreciated. Having issues getting title My mother, husband, son and I were in on June 1st to purchase a 2012 used Chevy Equinox. Everything went fine while we were there. We received a temp My mother, husband, son and I were in on June 1st to purchase a 2012 used Chevy Equinox. Everything went fine while we were there. We received a temp paper plate that expired on 6/16/2019. We were told that we would be notified when the license plate came in so we could come pick it up. As 6/16 started approaching, we contacted the dealership on 6/10 or 6/11 to see if our plate was ready. We were told that the vehicle was purchased by the dealership at an auction in NY and the dealership did not have the most recent title on hand. Left a message for the owner of the dealership but he never returned our call. Spoke with the sales manager, Kellie on 6/11(after the voicemail for the owner was left) and she told me that she would have the title in within the next couple of days and would call us with an update. Never got a call back from her. Called again on 6/14 and 6/15 and didn't hear back from her again. We were able to get a hold of our salesperson, Darcy. In his words the fact that they did not have the most recent title was "no one's fault" and they are working on getting the title from NY. Obviously we cannot drive the car with an expired paper plate. Darcy had a wonderful suggestion that if we did drive the car and happened to get pulled over, we could explain the situation to the cop (as if any cop would believe that and not have the car immediately towed). We drove almost an hour out of the way to go to this dealership because of all of the great ratings we saw but this has been such a stressful situation that could have easily been avoided if the dealership crossed their T's and dotted their I's. The fact that they did not even realize they did not have the most recent title until we called them to check on our plate made it even more frustrating. If they would have noticed this the day we purchased the vehicle, there might have been a chance that they would have received the title before the paper plate expired on 6/16 (according to the New York DWV, the new title was not issued until 6/12). You would think that a dealership this large with a great reputation and an A+ rating on BBB would have been more on top of this than they were but according to them, "it's not their fault". We have been in touch with a lawyer regarding this situation and will be filing a complaint with the Michigan SOS. I have purchased a few cars in the past but this has been the most frustrating and ridiculous experience ever. More
