Sloane Toyota of Glenside

On 10/01/2012 we were offered a deal to buy a new 2012 Toyota Sienna LE for $30000 with 400 miles on it and 72 months financing (1st 4 years at 1.99% APR, next 1 year at 2.99% APR and anything after that Toyota Sienna LE for $30000 with 400 miles on it and 72 months financing (1st 4 years at 1.99% APR, next 1 year at 2.99% APR and anything after that at some higher rate). But when we walked in we were offered a 2012 car with more than 4000 miles in it. When we complained they accepted their mistake and gave us a 2013 Toyota Sienna LE for $30000 with 385 miles. After running my credit check and almost after most of the paper work was done, their sales guy came and said they cannot do it for $30000 and we have to pay $32000+ for the car. After complaining and arguing for sometime they accepted their mistake again and made it $30000. After all done and I made changes to my insurance, the number plates were changed, my current loan payoff was planned and then they called us for the final finance paper work. When we went in they said they cannot do the loan for anything less than 6.99% APR for 72 - 84 months. When we opposed and told them what payment APR plan we were told before they totally disagreed and also after their sales guy accepted in front of the finance guys what he committed to us, those finance guys did not accept it. And then we decided to walk out of the deal and asked them to return us all the papers I signed and also copy of the credit report they ran for me. They straight away denied to return them back. After a long heated argument they gave a few papers back to me. This whole episode started from the phone calls they made to my husband about the deal since this morning and that is what made us to go there at around 7 pm that day and after everything and waiting there and doing every paper work till 9:30 pm we come out with nothing but humiliation. TERRIBLE sales experience. Our salesman lied to us and then followed that with threats and verbal abuse. Having been customers of this dealership for over 15 years apparently means nothing to them as we then followed that with threats and verbal abuse. When asked for the owners information to lodge a complaint we were told that the owner would forward the complaint to the person we were already dealing with as he does not get involved in these matters. This makes me believe that the owner endorses such behavior from his employees and also does not care about his customers. Have never been treated so poorly by a "professional". More

The car was clean, well-maintained and the perfect vehicle for our son's very first car. Buying a car was the last thing I needed but my 14-year old Explorer bit the dust at exactly the wrong time in my life. Money is a serious issue for me right now. But I did my internet research. I revisited dealers. Then I found Sloane, not 10 miles from my house, online. I had a few email exchanges with Rob Fox and this morning decided to visit the lot, even though I had another vehicle in my sights. I purchased this 2009 Matrix because of the 2.9%/60 month financing incentive, the fact the car carries a CERTIFIED warranty through 2015 and lastly, but not least, because it was priced very fairly. The icing on the cake was that Mr. Fox is a genuinely nice human being (he listened to me) on top of being a pro. It will take me at least a few days if not weeks to relax into this new montly expense, but I am satisfied that this is the right car - and dealership - for me. Thank you, Sloane. And thank you, Rob. I needed a new car in the worst way. I went to a few dealers and got awful offers for my trade as well as salesmen not being willing to give me a good price and rushing me out. I had a bank check before I got there and they worked with their banks to get us a rate 3.09 points lower. Rob had a few cars in mind for us and had print ups of all the scenarios and helped us choose the one that was safest and the best value. We walked away with more than we thought we could afford at a price that was more than affordable! They were not interested in digging into our pockets, they were interested in helping us which was refreshing and new! I will never buy a car anywhere else! More

I contacted the dealer via email with the vehicle in their inventory that I was interested in and the price I was willing to pay otd. He also worked with my bank to fax them all the information they needed so I wouldn't have to make multiple trips. When we noticed small issues on the vehicle Bill offered to take care of after purchase with a "We owe U" as they have to order the part. He stayed late to accommodate us, was professional and followed through with everything! Great experience and I will definitely be back! More

I drove an hour to Sloane Toyota of Glenside to buy a Toyota Camry that I had found online. When I arrived, the salesman informed me that it had just been sold. Although I liked the cars he showed me, they were more expensive than the car that I had come to look at. Both Lee and Cheryl worked with me and matched the price that I would've paid for the Camry I had come to see. I ended up leaving the dealership with a beautiful Camry that I absolutely love for the same price as the car I had originally intended to buy. Thank you! More
