Remarkable We were driving to NJ for the Christmas holidays from the Carolina's when we received an email offer for an oil change service. (Former NJ residents) We were driving to NJ for the Christmas holidays from the Carolina's when we received an email offer for an oil change service. (Former NJ residents) We decided to see if they could fit us in during our visit. We were delighted that they were able to accommodate us on such short notice! Better yet as the weather forecast changed we decided to depart for the south a day earlier. To our amazement, Smythe worked their magic and fit us in a day earlier. The service was performed quickly while we sat in their comfortable waiting room and our car was also given a courtesy wash ! A very pleasing experience, thanks to Doug, Regina and the service crew. This enabled us to start our journey south and avoid the bad winter weather that had been predicted. More

Best service department I have ever experienced Smythe is the best service department I have ever dealt with (across all industries, not just for autos). In my case yesterday, this meant they worked to get my replacement fan motor covered under warranty, which was not a sure thing at the start of the process. The job was done in a few hours, and they even cleaned my (salt encrusted) sedan without charge. If you want a dealership with integrity (not always in abundance in NJ), Smythe is an excellent choice. More

Another excellent service It is a pity that our another family car, a 2015 XC60, was also involved in a rear-end collision within one month, which is the fault of the other car It is a pity that our another family car, a 2015 XC60, was also involved in a rear-end collision within one month, which is the fault of the other car's driver, but it is fortunate that we have the great help from Smythe Volvo and Michael Watson in particular. Initially the insurance company only gave us a check of $300 for a damage in the rear bumper, not enough even for an inspection. Again, Michael represented us to negotiate with the insurance company representative to get things sorted out. We very much appreciate his professional services, as it's no hassle with us at all, just like a normal service! We not only bought our cars from Smythe Volvo, but also are very happy to have our cars serviced by them. More

Great Service from the Service Dept Though Part Prices High I cracked the rim on my wife's XC90....slid sideways into a curb at estimated 8 mph and literally cracked the aluminum rim. The rim was on back order I cracked the rim on my wife's XC90....slid sideways into a curb at estimated 8 mph and literally cracked the aluminum rim. The rim was on back order (3 week expected wait) and Doug somehow found a loaner rim so we wouldn't be stuck using the small spare. Given its my wife car and we have 2 young kids, I did not want her driving on the spare for any considerable time. Doug went above and beyond to find a solution. On the negative side, and this is directed to Volvo the parent, the cost of the rim is absolutely ridiculous. $850 or so with tax. Doug kindly explained this is MSRP. I kindly explained that its highway robbery. I found the rim on a website for $300, though this does not include the tire pressure sensor. We will be discussing the ultimate price shortly. I am sure that Volvo is mandating the price to Smythe, but it still doesn't make this right. More
