Great Experience After searching around for estimates to get some major engine work done on our XC70, I got to Smyth. I found myself speaking to Tom Coward. Not only did Tom have the best price from the start, he explained to me all of the variables that might effect the price. Still the lowest, we brought the car in. Later that day, Tom called and told me of some related issues. Here we go, I thought. Being an hour away, and the price better than looking for another car, I told him to go ahead. Expecting the worst, we went to pick up the car the next day. Not only was the work complete and the car ready when I was told, but Tom explained that what they had seen as an issue wasn't so bad. The price was quite a bit less than the estimate given. Amazing, friendly, and competent service. I would recommend to anyone. More

Recent Service for S-80 Over the years since purchasing my S-80, it has only been serviced for the most part at Smythe Volvo. I have always felt that I have been treated with the utmost courteous and that the service was professional, friendly and fair. It was during my recent service for a problem with a driver module, that Doug MacAdam went out of his way to find a reasonable way to deal with the matter. After diagnosing the problem and cost, I decided not to move forward with the repair, due to the age of the car. It was Doug, who called me a week later and gave me an option to consider. He made me aware of a third party vendor that could possibly rebuild the part for half the price of a new one. Considering the condition of the car, it was certainly worth exploring. The car has now been repaired and Smythe was nice enough to honor a discount coupon for the repair. In closing, I highly recommend Smythe and see Doug. He went out of his way to help me and I really appreciate it! More
