Great service from Doug & Team I'll admit it. I'm picky, a bit of a perfectionist. I care about my car, and I won't allow just anyone to work on it. Family owned Smythe Volvo h I'll admit it. When I needed a new AC compressor for my 2000 V70, my service advisor Doug MacAdam checked to see if they had the part in stock (computer said no), so then he thought to physically check inventory anyway, just in case ( very impressive extra initiative Doug, much appreciated). Their actions reveal they value your time. He ordered the part on an expedited basis (no extra charge) and had it shipped over the weekend. Today (Monday) on check-in I shared I had an important client meeting I hoped not to miss. This late curve ball by me was no problem, as Doug located a loaner for me and I was able to avoid having to reschedule my important meeting. They emailed me when it was done (on time!). I just picked up my car and Brian (master mechanic/tech extraordinaire/uber brainiac) went above and beyond by addressing an awful door hinge squeak that has been driving us crazy. I'm pulling hair out over it, and I can't afford to do that.... I appreciate the high level of service given by Doug, and my wonderful Tech Brian. Good people. Honest, hardworking, attentive, proactive, purposeful - they add value to my life and I appreciate that. No aftermarket cheap nonsense parts here obviously, the real deal OEM is what I want on the car - parts that were designed to give the most benefit, longevity, and reliability. I've never had a car breakdown and I intend to keep it that way. I value my wife & I value having a reliably maintained vehicle. The AC is ice cold, just in time for summer. Dead battery problems Purchased new battery (not at Smythe Volvo) a year ago. Was away from car for 3 months and came home to find battery dead. Doug MacAdam made a house Purchased new battery (not at Smythe Volvo) a year ago. Was away from car for 3 months and came home to find battery dead. Doug MacAdam made a house call to check things out for me. I ended up getting battery checked by the place I purchased it, and they charged it and said it was fine. Doug was dubious and requested that I bring car in so he could check the battery. It flunked his test, and his service people installed a new battery right then. I could not be more pleased with Doug's care and attention, and the excellent service. More

I've been coming to this dealership for years. I had to drop off my car for routine service which took a few minutes longer than usual for drop-off, but the service team members apologized. It was a busy morning and the representatives were attentive to each individual that they were working with. The service was routine and the service person called with recommended service additions. This is typical customer service for Smythe's service group. I wasn't surprised at the price for the recommended replacement item because Volvo parts are expensive. More
