One of the worst customer service experiences I've EVER experienced. We purchased a used 2019 F-250 Super Duty from Sound Ford in Renton, WA in November 2022. On May 1st 2023 it wouldn't start and after being towed back to the dealership. After having it for almost a week, it was finally diagnosed as a PCM fault. With no part available, and none even in manufacturing! We were given a # to call at Ford Motors with our Case # by one of the service guys. No help there. The part MAY be available in 4 months, but could be up to a year. After asking TWICE, a rental car was offered, but we never received one. Unless you know the extension, you can't call directly and have to leave a vmail that says they only check messages once a day. Countless calls unanswered, finally found the Service Mgr with a Google search. He answered, but was of no real help and kicked us back to the first guy, who while nice, is just the messenger. In addition to all this, they won't buy it back because it's not running. We have just one vehicle, and our house sells in about a month - we're screwed. More
Brian was very responsive especially when I had to bring it back in to take care of the engine light due to a recall replacement. Way to go Brian! Thank you! -- Mer.. it back in to take care of the engine light due to a recall replacement. Way to go Brian! Thank you! -- Mer.. More
DO NOT take your vehicle here for service! Absolutely gouging labor rates and an absolute xxxx show of a service department. Do your own work or find a shop that actually cares about its customers through a friend. I trusted this dealership to do great work while I'm all the way across the country so I didn't have to do it myself and they made me lose two whole days of work, too much money and it wasn't even done right. I recently brought my truck in for service at Sound Ford (brake pad change, oil change, tire rotation, and to adjust my parking brake). I supplied my own parts, oil and event lubricants. I dropped the truck off at 9AM in the morning and had to wait until 4PM for them to be finished with it. Paid absolutely eye watering labor prices just to drive the truck down the street one block and notice the warped rotors/jerking while braking (they turn rotors as part of part of their brake service). They obviously didn't test drive it which is very concerning given that they're doing BRAKE WORK. The rotors should've been checked before putting everything back together even before a test drive. After I brought the truck back immediately they acted as though it was out of their control and the truck needed new rotors. I left to sleep on my decision as I had just paid an astronomical amount of money for this work to find out that my parking brake STILL DOESN'T WORK ($200 down the drain) and my brakes were worse off than when I came in! (Rotors not warped when I arrived) I returned in the morning and stated that I would buy the new rotors, but I would NOT be paying any more labor charges, and the service advisor said that he would have to check with his supervisor. Fine. After dropping the truck off again I received a phone call saying that they'll "Meet me in the middle"' at another $175 just to install the new rotors. I called them back and said don't touch my truck, I will do the work myself. I bought the rotors leaving promptly, and brought the truck home and installed the rotors myself in less than 2 hours. They didn't even try to make things right or work with me on a mistake that they had made and clearly didn't learn a lesson from it. They don't know how to take care of you or take pride in their work, so don't give them the opportunity to screw you over. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. More
Sound did not have the car I needed, but they were good about calling and making certain that I knew what they had, and some options. Courteous. about calling and making certain that I knew what they had, and some options. Courteous. More
BUYER BEWARE! My husband and I negotiated with Sound Ford on buying a new Bronco. We had looked at the Bronco the day before with a salesman. The salesman told us My husband and I negotiated with Sound Ford on buying a new Bronco. We had looked at the Bronco the day before with a salesman. The salesman told us to call if we were interested and we could work out a deal over the phone if we liked. The next day after going back and forth on the phone we came to an agreed price. We were on the road minutes after the acceptance call and driving to Sound Ford which was 45 minutes away when; we got a call from the sales manager telling us not to come in they had gotten a better price! My husband asked how they could do that morally? The guy just mumbled it is all about money. So just so you know. You can have an agreed on sale and they will jerk it away from you in a second if one of their salesmen call someone else interested and tells them the price they have to beat. This dealership is untrustworthy!!! Incidentally this Bronco had sat for one month because it was priced so high! It was originally priced at $99,991.00!!!! Sound Ford in Renton is a ripoff dealership that has zero integrity and cares nothing about the customer. Remember as the Sales Manager said, "It is all about MONEY!!!) More
Sold me a “certified” car that had a clearly pre existing problem, manager accused me of lying, refused to acknowledge problem or release service records, acted like a bully. No excuse for his misogynistic problem, manager accused me of lying, refused to acknowledge problem or release service records, acted like a bully. No excuse for his misogynistic disrespectful behavior. Sales guy was nice but had no power to help. Once you sign, you are on your own. Wish I had looked at dealer reviews beforehand! More
BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT TRUST THE SALES PEOPLE! The sales people at Sound Ford are nice enough to get you to buy, but I found that when I counted on them to be my expert for the things I didn't kno The sales people at Sound Ford are nice enough to get you to buy, but I found that when I counted on them to be my expert for the things I didn't know, which most of us are not car and truck experts, they chose to mislead me on the vehicles capabilities to make the sale instead of pointing me in the right direction. When I talked to their mechanic the VERY next morning to follow up on the improvements my sales person suggested, the mechanic told me I was mislead. I immediately followed up with my sales people, who refused to anything other than offer trade this one in for a more expensive one. I asked to speak with the manager and they refused to transfer me to the manager. I left messages with finance, and they have yet to return my call as they know my name and number now. I am now COMPLETELY being ignored. SO... MAKE SURE you know your stuff before you shop here, or you might get duped into buying something that looks good, but isn't what you wanted. More
