Southland Dodge was opened in July 1968 by Joe Teuton Jr., Jeff Teuton, and Dennis Oncale. Joe and Dennis were experienced auto technicians at Downtown Auto Service on Lafayette St, and Jeff was a college graduate in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University. They were also avid drag racers, and they were all under 30 years of age. The first location at 505 Sunset Ave featured a one-car showroom and a 10 car parking lot. Their racing background helped them to sell lots of Dodge Superbees, Chargers, and Challengers in the early years.

Waited about 2 hours for my oil change and the next time I moved my car out of my driveway I had a huge oil leak. Thankfully someone saw it so we were able to tighten the cap that was super loose!!! Just received truck back from recalls and general checkup, and at time using it noticed that the tire air pressure is low( not a big deal but should’ve been checked under normal inspection schedule checkup, and at time using it noticed that the tire air pressure is low( not a big deal but should’ve been checked under normal inspection schedule nice this vehicle does not have tire pressure monitors) Main thing I noticed is that the heater is not working since maintenance was completed, it was working the week I brought it and it may be a coincidence, but first day back it doesn’t blow hot air More
