Oil change percentage read out was not recalibrated. So….I’m going to look once at oil. Maybe it never was changed? This actually happened to me once at Tires Plus! They said they changed it,,,,but never touched the car! So….I’m a bit paranoid considering the preliminary clues and general set up. More
My scheduled oil change and tire rotation took and hour and a half. An oil-changing brand like Valvoline can perform that same service in 15 minutes- without out an appointment. A pit crew can rotate tires, and inspect brakes in under 10 seconds. You should start moving towards that standard. An oil change and tire rotation should take no more than 30 minutes. I should know- I was a service center mechanic. I also own a Lexus. I have my Lexus serviced in Wayzata. They offer free refreshments, snacks, working spaces with WiFi, a comfortable, clean, updated lounge. Your waiting room is a slouch. Especially if you have to wait for service taking 3X more time than required. Finally, with every oil change, our service center vacuumed and cleaned the car of trash, ash trays, etc. Cleaned floor mats, and made sure the mechanic didn’t leave grease on the steering wheel or seat. Lexus leaves a bottle of water in the cup holder, and brings the car to you valet-style, removes the paper floor liner and plastic seat cover. YOU return a dirty car- I get it- you don’t care. More
