The Good, the Bad, and how can I possibly trust Stingray Chevrolet Service Department. On Dec 8th, I had my 2007 Corvette towed to Stingray Chevrolet for replacement of a broken shift cable and an oil chan Chevrolet Service Department. On Dec 8th, I had my 2007 Corvette towed to Stingray Chevrolet for replacement of a broken shift cable and an oil change. The Good: The shift cable appears to be working properly at this time. The Bad: While discussing my car’s service with Jeremiah, I asked him emphatically to “Please make sure they do not overfill the oil”. I also mentioned that the Owner Manual specifies 5.5 qt (with filter).. When Jeremiah called to tell me my car was ready, he made a point to say “the oil level is spot on”. I picked up my car, drove home, and the car sat in my garage for several days. The next time I drove it I decided to check under the hood, and all fluid levels. Unfortunately, I found that the engine oil was excessively overfilled (at least ½ quart above the dip stick operating range). I had this same problem a few years ago. To avoid any possibility of engine damage. the Service Director had my car towed back to Stingray Chevrolet to correct the problem. He assured me that it would not happen again. But it did… I called Jeremiah on Dec 29th to discuss this problem with him, but he did not seem interested in helping me and said he would refer me to the Service Director. He transferred me but I only got his voice mail. I left a message to please call back, but as of today, Jan 8th, no one has followed up to address this problem. I was hesitant to write this review, but I am hopeful that someone at Stingray Chevrolet will read this and understand how frustrating this experience has been. If I can’t trust Stingray Chevrolet to do a simple oil change, how can I trust them to do anything more complex? More
