He does get a little scatterbrained when there is a lot going on, but once he is focused he can answer all of your questions. He is extremely knowledgeable and will get the job done. I wanted a Forester a specific way and it was no where to be found so I had to place an order. We agreed on a purchase price up front and that is exactly what I paid, no surprises! From start to finish, Chris was responsive. He either answered his phone or returned my calls or emails quickly. He kept me informed of the progress from car build, transit, to port delivery. The car was ready to go when we arrived at the dealership and he included some great accessories without additional fee! Chris is very easy to work with and I really appreciate that. Both times we had done our research and knew specs about the vehicles we were buying before coming in. Both times, the staff (from the sales, to managers, to financing) were extremely knowledgeable about the vehicles and confirmed what we had researched and taught us a lot of new things. Tom was professional, polite, not pushy at all and made us feel appreciated. Sean Deal (our sales guy from last time) was the sales manager this time and remembered us from last time. He & Trent assisted with this sale too. They are both knowledgeable, professional guys and don't beat around the bush about the pricing. I wanted as much done by the time we came in and they had the car waiting for us to drive/buy both times we bought a car there. All features were explained to us in detail and there was no feeling of skipping things because we already own one. We are now loyal VW & Stohlman customers! There are 3 dealerships closer that we have dealt with (in the research process, test driving and then service one time) and we will ALWAYS go to Stohlman from here on out. Their service department is awesome too. I cannot explain enough how different & better this dealership is. We have bought new cars for 25 years now and we have always felt frustrated at lack of knowledge, professionalism, respect and/or felt ripped off after driving away. It was as stream-lined & pleasant as buying a car can be. As far as VW's go, we have had 3 now in the family (Beetle, Passat & Jetta) and we always go drive/compare cars that fit the specs we are looking for in all classes & brands. We haven't found any that have the tight cornering, responsiveness, features (killer stereo & technology stuff) and overall driving experience in that price range. Out of the cars we've driven & owned, German engineering definitely has them all beaten (and we have tried to be unbiased), but VW has the value beaten against other German cars and still drives as tight as their luxury counterparts (and in the Passat's case more HP than most of the standard models of the luxury brands). In fact I drove a BMW 335i & my Passat V6 head to head (almost the same HP) but my Passar felt lighter, more responsive and it was 20k less $! Score! Needless to say, we highly recommend Tom, Stohlman and VW! :) More

He apparently was busy too - he shook my hand, said thanks for coming in, and led me to the exit. I left and made a purchase elsewhere for a much better price through Truecar.com. Personally, a poor experience with a sales manager who had easier (and plenty of) prey. The nature of the business I suppose. More
