Not up to par Usually, my experience with the service center at Subaru of Port Richey has been exceptional. The job gets done to my satisfaction and the staff is Usually, my experience with the service center at Subaru of Port Richey has been exceptional. The job gets done to my satisfaction and the staff is great to deal with. However, the most recent need for service of my vehicle, a 2017 Outback, was disappointing, to say the least. I was scheduled for an appointment on March 12 but on March 11th, I discovered my car's battery was dead. I contacted the service department and spoke with Joe Koenn and he was able to change my appointment to that same day. Luckily, I have AAA and was able to get the battery charged. When I arrived at the service center, I spoke to Mr. Koenn, who advised me that they would be completing a 30,000 mile maintenance on the vehicle and I reminded him about the issue I had with the battery. When I went back to retrieve my car, I asked if the battery had been replaced (it was still under warranty) and I was informed that it had not been replaced and that some type of device had been installed that would enable the battery to be charged more quickly. It should be noted that this is the 2nd battery this vehicle has had. The original battery had to be replaced at around 17 months. My concern is that my battery was still under warranty and this device that was installed may or may not correct the problem but if, in facet, it doesn't correct the problem my battery will , more than likely, be out of warranty. I don't believe that a vehicle, with the reputation of Subaru, should have so many issues with a battery. I am not comfortable that this problem has been alleviated and am not happy about the service my vehicle received. It would appear to me that Subaru did not want the expense of having to replace two batteries, in such a short period of time. My wife and I both own 2017 Subaru Outbacks and both were purchased at the Port Richey location, despite the fact that this dealership is nearly 60 miles from out house and we could have picked another dealership closer to us. We chose Subaru because we felt it best met our needs and Subaru of Port Richey because of their reputation for offering good follow-up services. Sorry, Subaru. While I personally have enjoyed my interactions with both Mr. Koenn and Mr. Skelton, I feel that, perhaps, this issue was resolved according to corporate demands and not to the satisfaction of this customer. More
The dealership was great for most aspects after I bought the car. Before I bought the car the lady who worked in the office that ran the online page applied a lot of pressure.
