My initial contact with Subaru of Puyallup was with Shelly on the internet program. I asked for a price on a new Imprezza Outback they showed in their inventory. Guess what, they had the car in invento Shelly on the internet program. I asked for a price on a new Imprezza Outback they showed in their inventory. Guess what, they had the car in inventory and I got the price! Other dealers in my experiences have not been forthcoming in either category or have employed hard sell tactics before providing the info. Shelly set me up with Mark Clark for a test drive and more information on the car because I was looking at competative AWD and 4WD autos and small SUVs. Let me summarize: I never felt like I was being pressured, the price I received was what I was hoping for after consulting Edmunds.com and ConsumerReports.com, the people were informative and personable. If you're looking to buy a Subaru I would highly recommend giving these people a shot. I bought one! More
I purchased a new Outback from this dealership using the Costco car buying service. After filling out the online form ( Costco.com) I was referred to Subaru of Puyallup by Costco. Shelley, from S of P, contacted me and helped me narrow down my search. She set up a couple test drives with Dave Warmack, and from then on I worked with Dave. He was great! Plenty of great info, not pushy at all, very knowledgable, and exceptionally helpful. After the test drives, I decided on what I wanted, but S of P didn't have it in stock. No problem.....they found what I wanted at another dealer, and were able to have to car ready the very next morning! Overall, very satisfied. More
I would have rated this Subaru of Puyallup alot sooner, but I was enjoying my new 2011 Ruby Red Pearl Legacy. Love this car and made a very good investment. Mark Clark and everyone are awesome. I was on my way home one day when a co-worker I carpool with made a comment about my car and how she really wanted one. She was afraid to go in cause her husband had destroyed their joint credit. When we got to the dealership she found out her credit was not that bad and was rolling out in a new car on Friday. After having a few beers with my buddies later that evening and disscusing future upgrades for my 09 I decided that it would be more cost effective in the long run to just upgrade to the 11 STI. So on Saturday my wife and I went in and walked out with not just 1 but 2 new Subarus. She had no intent on getting the new Legacy at this time but was so impressed with Marks presentation and the test drive she traded in her 06 Mazda for the 2011 Legacy. I too purchased my vehicle that day but had to wait 2 weeks for the delivery. Some might say this is a bad thing, not at all. I got the exact model and color I wanted. Not once was there any presure from Mark or the other sales staff to get us into what they had in stock or on the lot. They attemted to get my vehicle in on dealer trade from a Subaru dealership on south Tacoma way, that dealership said that they had deals working on both of my color choices and were unable to accomadate us. Three weeks later both of those cars are still sitting on their lot when I drove in my new STI with a salesman picking his nose at the window. What a garbage dealership and staff at South Tacoma Subaru. Thanks again to the Harnish auto family for taking the time to get us and our friends exactly what WE wanted. The finance staff and sales staff are laid back, mature, and true professionals. Not a bunch of snot nosed kids in cheap suits. At Harnish and dealing with Mark especially it was like buying a car from an old friend. Fair prices and great service is why I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new Subaru. More
I went out to the dealership on a Saturday evening looking for a used vehicle. I was met by Mark and he was very efficient and polite. He listened to what I was looking for and what I could afford. I went into the dealership after work with a co-worker, I had been thinking about trading in my vehicle for awhile. I let him know the situation I was in and that I wasn't even sure if I would qualify. Mark and finance worked hard, and succeeded, to get me in the vehicle I wanted. I have had my vehicle for about 2 weeks now, and have been to the dealership numerous times already, all good things, and everytime I've been there Mark has made it a point to stop and talk to me. He not only makes sure you're enjoying your vehicle, but he finds a common ground and talks to you about life in general. More

I had just gotten out my car and regrouped with my wife behind our car and was approached by an individual, that by the way he spoke gave us no clue he was a car salesman, this gentleman was Mark Clark. He was friendly, asked why I was there. I told him that I was in the beginning process of comparing makes and models and was not ready to buy a vehicle yet. He then asked us what we had been looking at and what we may be interested in seeing at Subaru. With knowledge, professionalism, and no pressure what-so-ever he showed us the features of the vehicle we were interested in, the Forester. Well, because of Mark's personalism and professionalism, we made a deal we were comfortable with and we bought the Forester. We have had the vehicle for four days now and Mark has contacted us twice to thank us for buying from him and to make sure we were happy with the Forester and asked if we had any questions about it that he could answer. Mark is truly a unique person in that he is truly interested in what his customer is about and wants and puts his customer's feelings above just selling a car to them. I have bought many new cars but this has been the best experience, by far, I have had. I would send anyone looking for a car (new or used) to Mark. Thanks for the experience Mark. More
I was brought down to the dealership by a family member and looked into the Legacys and Foresters. I was greeted by Mark and he already had some models picked out for me as my family member had mentioned w and looked into the Legacys and Foresters. He told me all features and answered all of my questions regarding each one. When we got back, he was able to get the exact deal I wanted for the exact model. My car arrived a few days later, he was helpful in moving my stuff over to the new car. Has been in touch every few days, see how things are going. I had an amazing experience with him and have recommended him to many friends and family! Would buy another car from him any day! More
