Issue with used car I recently bought a new Subaru Crosstrek in June. I was treated really well so when it came time to buy my son a used car we went back and purchased a I recently bought a new Subaru Crosstrek in June. I was treated really well so when it came time to buy my son a used car we went back and purchased a 2013 Ford Escape with Ecoboost. About 2 months into driving it the check engine light came on throwing a P0234 code. Since there was a 90 day warranty to fix anything that might crop up I scheduled an appointment with Subaru. My husband and son took it down there and they "looked" at it. The Mechanic told him it was a " drop in temperature outside" making the Ecoboost trigger the check engine light to come on. He said he would reset the check engine light and if it comes back on to " maybe go to Ford". Less than 2 months later the check engine light came on again so I took it to Ford since the 90 day warranty was up at Subaru. Ford looked at it, told me that it was the wastegate solenoid and that it should have been fixed the first time when I took it to Subaru. I called to talk to the Manager at Subaru and told him that it cost us 400 dollars to fix what should have been fixed by them. He was decent and said he would check into it. I haven't heard back since. I left him another message a week ago and gave him time to respond because I know everyone is busy and I am not the only customer. I am just really disappointed because I was treated really well when I bought my new car. More
