I went in to Suburban Volvo in Troy to purchase a new Volvo. I explained I wanted to pay 100% in cash and picked out a vehicle together with the sales person. I was given an "out the door" price written on a paper with the initials of the sales person. The price was good. A few days later I called to finalize the deal. I was told the specific new Volvo was sold but that another one, identical, same color, options and exactly the same sticker price was available. However, they wanted another $2,500 on top of the price I was given. Unbelievable. You can imagine my frustration, I argued and argued with them. Eventually I ended up speaking with the manager arguing that I had a written note with an offered price. I was told the specific Volvo I looked at was purchased on a special rate, some one-time deal from Volvo. Who would believe this sob story? It’s so fishy. I later checked their website and the vehicle I picked still shows as available inventory. I was lied to and they didn't honor the price they gave me. I’m surprised you can be treated like this in a business where you as a customer have alternatives. I'm not going back..... More

I stumbled upon Suburban Volvo a few years ago while shopping different dealerships in search of a vehicle. At that time I always shopped around and did not work with any one salesperson who delivered shopping different dealerships in search of a vehicle. Chris Romanik happened to be the guy who approached me that day. Since then I have returned to Suburban Volvo in Troy and continue to work with the Suburban Group because of Chris Romanik. I am just in the process of purchasing my third car this weekend a Jeep Wrangler. I will say I have always had exceptional customer service with Suburban Volvo in Troy and will continue to work with them as my dealer of choice. The reason I have had such a desirable experience and felt compelled to share this information was because of Chris Romanik. He has always had time for my questions, greeted me when my car was in for routine service, and followed-up with me at appropriate times. He is extremely knowledgeable and if he does not have an answer he will do his research and touch base thereafter. My past training in sales has always taught me to listen to my customers. It has been frustrating, in the past, to work with car salesmen. I have felt like many of them have the tendency to throw up their lunch in respect to features and deals on their latest vehicles. I am one of those customers that knows for the most part what I want and what I do not want and many of their rants have not been specific to what I was looking for... Chris Romanik has changed my perception and made buying or leasing a vehicle a truly fun and seamless experience. He has always listened to my needs and provided me with the information I requested and followed-up with me throughout the process. Whenever my selection of a vehicle was complete he made the paperwork part thorough but easy and presented the car to me as if I was someone special. When you drive your car out of that showroom after working with Chris Romanik...you are guaranteed to drive out with the car you were looking for and a smile on your face. I came in to the Volvo dealership for the sole purpose of comparing the S40 T5 R Design with the Audi A4 and Audi A5 which I had been looking at with the intention of buying. Before that visit, I had never comparing the S40 T5 R Design with the Audi A4 and Audi A5 which I had been looking at with the intention of buying. Before that visit, I had never strongly considered driving a Volvo if for no other reason that mere lack of exposure to them. However, after meeting with Michael Path and taking a test drive of the S40, I immediately changed my note. Within a week's time I had decided to purchase the S40, although finding the exact car proved to be a little more daunting. I had a very specific color, trim level and options list I had in mind which resulted in only a few cars in the U.S. matching my list. Michael worked tirelessly to get me the car I wanted, which included even cancelling a previous order we made when I discovered a certain option was not included. In the end, I am now the proud owner of a beautiful new S40 with all the options on it that I wanted. Michael Path has definitely earned by business and my respect for being honest, forthright and customer service orientated. On a side note, this is my second vehicle purchased through the Suburban automotive group (Suburban Hummer).
