Ben was an awesome salesman. He took us around to look at all the RAV4s on 2 lots to see which one would meet our needs. Two weeks ago I left a raving review right after I purchased a vehicle. Now, I feel really misled. I worked with Sales to finalize a price to my liking and buying the car being dependent on this price purchased a vehicle. Now, I feel really misled. Everything was looking good and then got to Finance and the monthly payment went up by $50/month. I asked why and Brandon in Finance told me that a service plan was required which I was never told. I selected the basic but after the paperwork was done, the salesman told me that I could call back and cancel. Called in to cancel a few days later and was told 1. I cannot cancel because even though the paperwork says you have up to 30 days, it is based on when payment is confirmed which is electronic so I was unable to make any changes 2 hours after leaving. 2. The increase in price was not for the service plans as I was told but because my interest rate increased by 3% between pre-approval and approval (what?!?) so even if I could cancel it, the payment wouldn't get lowered despite what I was told in office. I then asked why I was not given the special for 60 months 0% interest and was told because I was opted into discounts totaling $1750. Before the increase in the interest rate, this would have made since but after, the interest to be paid grew so much that the 0% APR would have been the better option but since this did not happen, I was essentially screwed out of about $2k. Both Sales and Finance said that they do not know anything about what the other says and passed the buck to the other when I asked why none of this information was provided to me during the process. I sent an email to ask for more detail because they said they think there was some confusion. I asked for an email response to better understand. It has been a week and I have not received a response back. The people are nice but I do advise to exercise caution and quadruple check everything. Overall, I feel really upset. Yes, I have a new car that I like but didn't need and spent months budgeting to know what I could afford and spent hours working on the deal I wanted, just to be Houdini'ed in the end and worried about a payment I wasn't expecting. Sun Toyota has by far been the best car buying experience that I've had, and I really have to give all the credit to my salesman, Jason Bulluck. From the initial contact regarding my online inquiry to the outstanding customer service that He provided before I had ever even been to the dealership, to when I walked out the door with my keys everything was such a great experience! when I got to the dealership Jason went above and beyond to accommodate my needs as well as my wants when it came to looking for a car. He was patient and didn't miss a beat when I told him I didn't like a vehicle. we ended up being there for quite a bit of time, as i couldn't make up my mind and not once did he get frustrated with me, never got short with me, even when I changed my mind about something he quickly got on the same page as I and continued with excellent customer service. Although I was skeptical Everything he told me would happen with my car buying experience actually happened. even now after my car has been purchased he has still gone above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of when he hasn't had to! If I could give more than five stars simply for this salesman I would! I had been looking for a car for a few months and was just mentally exhausted with the whole thing and he really turned around my outlook and made it such an easy pleasurable experience. I have to add even after I told him I was very indecisive and haven't been able to make my mind up for quite some time and didnt know if I was going to like anything I looked at his attitude never changed and he continued with great service. He did everything in his power to show me different options in my price range, as did Brad Leighton! next time I'm in the market for a car I will definitely be returning to Sun Toyota, (hopefully Mr.Bulluck will still be working there! ) Sun Toyota is a great place to buy a car from, they really do go above and beyond at their dealership to do their best to accom modate each person based on their needs and wants and If the other sales people are anything like Jason Bulluck i can't imagine anyone having a bad experience! The experience that I had was not as quick as I had hoped but Tristan (salesperson) was very helpful at answering my questions and getting my new vehicle set up for me after the deal was closed.
