Bait and Switch We went to Sun Toyota on June 30 to trade in a 2007 Pontiac Vibe and purchase a Prius V 5 equipped with the Advanced Technology Package. We used the C We went to Sun Toyota on June 30 to trade in a 2007 Pontiac Vibe and purchase a Prius V 5 equipped with the Advanced Technology Package. We used the Consumer Reports car buying tool to generate a price and identify dealers in our area that were willing to meet the price. After some back and forth the price was agreed upon but Tyler told us that the Prius V 5 on their lot had been sold so we couldn't look at it. Not to worry, he would locate another Prius V 5 for our agreed upon price and deliver it to us. We naively assumed it would be equipped with the Advanced Technology Packaged. We signed off on the car presented to us. Tyler never mentioned that it did not have the Advanced Technology Package, and the deal was completed. Subsequently the car was delivered to our apartment building. There was no paperwork in the car at all. No owners manual, no warrantee information, no registration to match the tag taken off the Pontiac Vibe. Tyler went over some of the car's features, again never mentioning that it did not come equipped with the Advanced Technology Package. When we eventually received the registration documentation, looked at on line manuals, and drove the car a few days later, we discovered that we had been taken. The sales managers at Sun Toyota refused to do anything about it. Stay away from this dealership and in particular Tyler St Onge. They apparently a fine with using predatory business practices to cheat the unsuspecting buyer. More
