Service department is terrible, no communication . I had my car towed there for a recall. Couldn’t ever get them on the phone to discuss repairs. I called ford motor company and they tried calling as I had my car towed there for a recall. Couldn’t ever get them on the phone to discuss repairs. I called ford motor company and they tried calling as well without getting an answer 3 different times to explain to them what the procedure was. There was no action taken ever on this dealerships side. Ford motor company then asked me to have the car taken to another dealership for repairs. I had the car towed to another dealership and they called once it got there and said that sunset ford actually sent the car away without being put back together. They sent my car away without an oil pan and without the exhaust pipes etc … when I called and asked them they said they didn’t know the car was gone and they will get the part’s together for to pick up . Worst place to ever take your vehicle. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. This dealership is criminal and incompetent. They do not care about customer service or even so much as answering the phones. More

Sunset Ford service dept. will lie to you and mislead you and then overcharge you for their service. I brought my truck to their service dept. to have the PCM programmed to a will lie to you and mislead you and then overcharge you for their service. I brought my truck to their service dept. to have the PCM programmed to a valve body I installed in my transmission and after several attempts of trying to get it to work they told me I needed a new transmission and wanted to charge me approx. $9,000. I could have had this done at a local transmission shop for half that price. My truck worked fine for 4 years and had an occasional funny shift at a certain RPM range which was annoying after 4 years, so I did a lot of research and replaced the valve body and lead frame. The only thing Sunset Ford was supposed to do was program the PCM to the new parts. They couldn't even get that right. Then they tell me I need a new transmission. I'm not buying it. Warning: Do not go to this dealership for service unless you want to get lied to and ripped off. More
