Buyer Beware: A Cautionary Tale! 🚗 I wanted to share my recent negative experience with Waterloo Sunset Ford to help others avoid the same frustration and deceptive sales practice 🚗 I wanted to share my recent negative experience with Waterloo Sunset Ford to help others avoid the same frustration and deceptive sales practices. I purchased a new car from them at the end of last year, and when I was uncertain about going through with the purchase, the manager ‘sweetened the deal’ with a promise of free car washes for as long as I owned the vehicle. I didn’t get this agreement in writing because I mistakenly thought they were a trustworthy dealership. I didn’t take advantage of this offer until recently, when I went in to get a code for the car wash as directed at the time of purchase. To my surprise, they informed me that the policy had changed, and they would no longer provide that service. This was part of the deal when I bought the car, so changing it now feels unfair and fraudulent. The manager acknowledged that he had promised the car washes but said he couldn’t do anything because the decision came from his boss. I reached out to his boss as well, and he wouldn’t honor it either. While it may seem insignificant to argue over some car washes, it’s really about principles. I’m not asking for anything more or anything different than what was originally promised; I just want the dealership to keep its word. I hope saving a couple of dollars on car washes was worth tarnishing their reputation and losing a loyal Ford buyer. After posting about this incident on social media, I received at least two dozen comments or messages from people who reported that the same thing had happened to them at this dealership over the last five or six years. This is not an isolated event. They have been practicing this scam for several years now! More

Sales dept is great We will be selling our new truck after dealing with Lonnie again. Un-professional when I try to schedule appointments.. Had an issue with the inner air dam on my pickup overextending but it appeared to have corrected itself. Lonnie got me right in for one of the techs to inspect. Concern for me was safety. Had me come back into work area where truck was on a lift and visually review, looks like no breakage and functioning. Lonnie was great and communicated to me what to watch for. This is the kind of service one expects, and I did so. More
