What began with Bill Suntrup opening the first dealership in the 1960s has blossomed into a multi-generational, family-run automotive empire. Just a decade after Bill launched his first dealership, his brother Don joined him, and together, they laid the foundation for what would become the Suntrup Automotive Group.

Bill's sons, Chris and Tom, are partners in Suntrup West County Volvo, with Tom also serving as President and CEO of Suntrup Ford Kirkwood, Suntrup Buick GMC in St. Peters, and Suntrup Ford Westport.
On the other side of the family tree, Don’s children, Butch and Craig, are proud partners in Suntrup Nissan/Volkswagen, Suntrup Kia, Suntrup Hyundai, and BMW of West St. Louis. As Craig Suntrup reflects, "We all started early in the business, around age 12, doing the grunt work—washing cars, cleaning parts, and painting walls."

From start to finish my experience with Brandon at Suntrup KIA was A+. Brandon explained and answered all of my questions. After ordering the new KIA he continually kept me updated with the delivery n Suntrup KIA was A+. Brandon explained and answered all of my questions. After ordering the new KIA he continually kept me updated with the delivery notifications. He had me download the KIA app so that everything would sync when my vehicle arrived. Today was arrival day “early!” and he went through every inside and outside task of the vehicle and took his time to explain in detail the smart board in the car. I would definitely recommend Suntrup and Brandon Smith. More

Inquired online about a new KiA K5 GT Line. A sales rep sent a personal video welcoming me. He later text me stating he would call after his appointment regarding the car.
