Aj was nothing short of a disaster, when negotiations were made for my trade in they told me it was totally unreasonable and offered me almost 10k less. After a circus of back and forth we were able to make a deal. We purchased a car and when we got home we noticed the rim had a scuff on it after the car was driven 5 hours to the dealer . I was told that there were no curbs on that drive or around the dealership that could have caused it and that the car was Inspected by multiple people and it definitely wasn’t their fault . I have a live feed on my cars in my garage I can assure you that the scuff wasn’t from me. When I called to have them fix it he told me it was more realistic that someone else scuffed it since there are videos of people scratching teslas and throwing cheese on windshields on the internet. He then condescendingly told me that it looked like adhesive that wasn’t wiped off ( even though multiple people hand washed and inspected it ) when I asked if it didn’t wipe off then what? He told me I can use my warranty to fix it. I said well I guess as soon as you sell me a car you don’t accept any responsibility for anything . He tried to tell me that the car I traded in had a scratch on the rear bumper and I probably didn’t notice it because it was in the clear coat ( the car is protected by cilajet ) which was a lie he asked if I should pay for that to be fixed even after they insulted me with the trade offers. I told him I would like to see pictures of the scratch ( since I know for a fact he was lying ) he told me he would absolutely send me those pictures and never did. It’s funny now because all the points I brought up on why I should get more on trade they are advertising to make the fact that they are selling my trade for more than I paid for it brand new seem like a good deal . On top of that my paperwork for my trade wasn’t filed properly so I wasn’t able to utilize my tax credit for sales tax and that cost me an extra 2000$ , overall it’s people like aj that give car salesmen a terrible name and I will never ever purchase a car from suntrup vw again. I came into Suntrup VW because of a New GTI Autobahn I saw that they had. When I got there it had just left for a test drive and unfortunately sold at no fault to AJ or Suntrup in my excitement I rushed o saw that they had. I had an extremely disappointing experience at Suntrup VW. My salesperson, AJ, exhibited behavior that was not only disrespectful but also marked by dishonesty and deceit. Despite paying the sticker price, additional fees, such as a surprising $500 no-trade-in fee, were introduced – then I was told the price shown on their website was only for people who financed through the dealership. (I was paying cash) details that were conspicuously absent from their website. The condition of the front tires was another concern; AJ initially contended they were within acceptable specifications. When I requested to speak with the sales manager regarding this matter, AJ asserted he lacked the technical expertise to comment so why did I want to talk to him. Eventually, they did agree to replace the tires. Upon our arrival at the dealership, AJ enthusiastically introduced a contest in which purchasers could throw a bean bag for a chance to win either a $50 gas card, complimentary floor mats, or a $500 discount on the car. Post-purchase, I inquired about participating in this contest, only to be informed that we did not meet the criteria. AJ's explanation for this exclusion was rather puzzling and lacked clarity. Towards the end of the process, after all paperwork had been signed, AJ informed me that the car came with only one key fob, a potential additional expense of about $300. My decision to purchase the car was primarily based on my trust in VW as a reputable brand, as well as the assurance of a VW warranty. Regrettably, my confidence lies with the brand and not with AJ. I sincerely hope that this level of deceitfulness is not indicative of the dealership's overall training. The One shining star was their service department. They did an excellent job getting my car ready for pickup. I would have no problem taking my car to get serviced at Suntrup VW. Jjust don't buy a car from Suntrup VW....or at least be aware of these deceitful practices. More
