Good enough service, though it did stretch out for about eight hours from start to car purchase. Draining, but was accommodated and well serviced. eight hours from start to car purchase. Draining, but was accommodated and well serviced. More

I had a very frustrating experience with this dealership regarding a GAP insurance cancellation and refund that has still not been resolved. I canceled the GAP insurance through a third-party company affili regarding a GAP insurance cancellation and refund that has still not been resolved. I canceled the GAP insurance through a third-party company affiliated with the dealer, and they claimed the cancellation was processed and the funds were sent to Honda Finance, the lien holder. A month later, Honda Finance told me they never received the money and that I needed to follow up with the dealership directly. Since then, I have spent a week calling repeatedly and even went in person, only to be met with confusion and no real help. No one seemed to know what I was talking about or who was responsible for handling this issue. The salesperson, finance guy, and finance manager who sold me the car no longer work there, and it felt like the dealership used that as an excuse to avoid taking responsibility. Meanwhile, I’m still trying to locate $1,200 that no one can properly account for. What makes this so disappointing is the complete lack of accountability and customer support. Every time I contact Honda Finance, I get a different answer, and the dealership keeps passing the problem around instead of resolving it. For something as serious as missing money, the level of disorganization and indifference is unacceptable. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP based on how they handled this situation. When you’re a potential costumer they offer you the heaven and the earth. The second you buy the car you’re dead to them. Horrible costumer service. More
My 22 year-old daughter lives in Tampa by herself, and someone crashed into her last week and we need a replacement car as soon as possible. I reached out online to TAMPA HONDA showing interest in a car o someone crashed into her last week and we need a replacement car as soon as possible. I reached out online to TAMPA HONDA showing interest in a car on Thursday of this week. I followed up in the morning with a phone call with a promise that a manager would call me back. I called them five more times during the day yesterday, Friday, March 27, 2026 with the promise that I would get a call back each time I called in. They Never called me back. This morning Saturday, I called them twice and got hung up on twice. Just now called back, and a guy said, "We don't have the bandwidth to handle all of the business buddy.Must be nice. Every time I have ever dealt with a car dealership, I have to ask them to quit calling me. Not the case with TAMPA HONDA. Maybe the worst business I've ever dealt with. More
UPDATE: Although my experience with Tampa Honda below started out on the wrong foot initially, Harry, a salesman from Tampa Honda, did call me back & helped navigate a difficult situation in bringing me started out on the wrong foot initially, Harry, a salesman from Tampa Honda, did call me back & helped navigate a difficult situation in bringing me back to the table to continue with the deal. Because of which, we were able to come to an agreement where both sides benefited. I do feel they gave me a good deal on the car after the difficulties I experienced & the general sales manager Clayton did meet with me briefly after the deal was done. I still feel even after buying the car there are some things this dealership should learn from how NOT to do a car deal but overall I'm happy with the car & the deal they gave me & would do it all over again for this car as we absolutely love it. Few points they could learn from this: 1. Not sure I ever actually got an official apology for why this experience went down this way. It came across more like excuses than acknowledging the problem & willingness to fix it. Ex: "This is what I do every day", "The renovations to the dealership", "We outsourced our phones to a 3rd party agency", etc. 2. I got told multiple times that they were a "high volume" dealership. What I took from that statement was I'm just a number & the point of our dealership is not to establish relationships but to sell a bunch of cars. Now I understand I'm out of state buyer & there isn't really an opportunity to earn repeat business from me as they will probably never see me or that car for service or sales again but theres still a way to treat me like a customer. 3. Out of state deals should still be treated like an in person customer as a deal is a deal. Yes, you can take extra precautions to make sure the out of state deals are legitimate & not fraud but don't hold that against all out of state customers. 4. Don't over promise & under deliver. Multiple occasions I was told one thing & then it wouldn't happen. Main example was Harry stating he'd have all my paperwork ready on the date of my arrival & should be in and out in an hour. 3.5 hours later the deal was done & was a lot of me just sitting around waiting for what? I get me being out of state I had to jump through a few more hoops but adding the new car to my insurance was one delay (which only took me 15 min to fix over the phone) & un-freezing my credit bureaus again (which took less than 5 min to do while on the phone with my insurance to add the car). All this to say, updated this review from a one star to 3 star as mistakes happen & I won't penalize them after they worked to make this deal happen & grateful for that since it's the car we really wanted. TBH I would buy from them again even with the troubles as they earned by business back through it all and feel I established some good relationships through the conflict. More
