Morgan's efforts were notable ... he secured copies of the service record and a list of aftermarket upgrades from the prior owner which I appreciated. Another situation that was visible was the 11-12 windshield cracks or slight chips. Nothing that obscured vision; however, given the general cosmetic condition, the windshield should have been replaced. Perhaps this and the 2-year 35K+ mileage contributed to it not being sold sooner. My gain. Once home, I completely detailed the interior during which I examined the entire engine bay setup and discovered there were four missing washers and locking nuts on the strut towers - 2 per side. I believe this is a significant oversight by Texas Auto. The engine was clean as a whistle; however, how could any reasonably skilled mechanic not see the missing nuts on the suspension brackets? I drove 1300+ miles without "incident" and am grateful for that but I am very disappointed to learn - post trip - that the setup for the suspension was not to manufacture's specification. I am grading the dealership on the sloppiness of the service considerations. I took another look at the checklist that was completed by the service tech and see if there's a positive check-off on the suspension. Item #73 on your list (mileage 34,401) VISUAL - Meets Standard for loose, missing components, leaks, labels, decals, etc. It's obvious an oversight occurred and should been flagged for correction of the mechanical anchoring of the strut tower brace to Ford's standards. Morgan was professional, polite and cordial. He represented himself and the dealership in a positive manner. More
