This is the tale of a potential horror story with a happy ending. My wife Sandy and I are on vacation in our 2011 Sonata Limited with 27900 mi when stoping for gas the car wouldn't start. Now for the second time (1st at 9500mi)the brake switch failed (12.00 retail part)and we had to be towed to dealer Tom Ahl at 1:30pm. Tom Ahl's service advisor Adam Booms was was very gracious an worked us into his schedule so as not to disrupt our vacation. The switch was fixed and we asked to have car serviced while there. A problem was found with the right front brake and rotor. The service tech Eric Ream was very observent. This car has been to Larry Miller dealership in Phoenix at least THREE times for a break noise....answer was all Hyundai's have a break noise. So we drove it. After replacing rotor and brake pads all is well!!! much to our surprise there is a chunk of foreign material from factory in the middle of of the brake pad. Now to fight dealer (Larry Miller-Phoenix) and Hyundia for warentee work. We were so happy with Adam and Eric they worked diligently to get us back on the road at 5:30 pm, so we could continue to PA to see our family there! This is what a dealership should be like!! More

The best car buying experience I've ever had! I started my process on the internet and the responsiveness of the Ahl team was incredible. Never pushy, he was ready with everything I needed. I live over an hour from the dealership and having nailed down the kind of car I wanted (Chrysler Pacifica), I thoroughly researched every Chrysler dealership in my area and Pacifica within 75mi.(probably 25-30) I could find. I have no doubt that I bought the optimal lowest mileage/newest model combination and saved at least $3000. The financing was iffy in my mind but, that was no problem and Mindy secured a rate half of what I expected. The only thing you can improve on is the car inspection. About a week after we had the car we noticed the back tires were very low on air pressure. Thought this was part of the 140(?) point car inspect that the vehicle goes through before leaving your dealership? It is a minor thing, but wanted to bring it to your attention. Overall our experience was great and we intend on passing the word to family and friends and returning to Tom Ahl for future vehicle purchases. OH, and meeting the owner of the dealership was icing on the cake. Of all the vehicles we have purchased over the years we have never met the owner of the dealership. We recently purchased a used 2009 Subaru Impreza from this dealer. We drove 2 hours to this dealership due to the competitive price we saw online. As being first time car buyers, we ended up needing a cosigner for the loan and the cosigner could not make the trip with us. They were able to take all the cosigners information even though they were not present and we got approved for the loan. They needed the cosigners signature so instead of having us make another trip back, they sent the sales rep that we had been working with back with us on our 2 hour journey to obtain the cosigners signature! They were super helpful and patient the whole time we were there! We couldn't have asked for a better deal or better customer service! Every part of the experience was worth the 2 hour drive and we would not hesitate to do it all over again! Thank you so much Terry and everyone else that helped! More

After a long search, my wife and I decided to make a 60 minute drive from Indiana to Lima, Ohio to look at Tom Ahl Hyundai. (There are plenty of dealerships in Fort Wayne, mind you, and none too impressive.) Their prices seemed to be great online, so we figured we had nothing to lose. Imagine our surprise when we found a dealership with extremely friendly people - all of them. Genuine people. Not people who you feel are friendly while also scheming to steal your wallet. We've not seen happiness in a dealership like this before, let alone many other businesses. Tom Ahl himself came out to greet us; a very calming man. They were well versed in their product and had a great selection of new and pre-owned Hyundai's as well as other foreign models. They were forthcoming with answers, and honest like we've never seen in a dealership. We found on staff a great group of people not only willing to share their great products and knowledge of them, but their faith in God as well. Our sales person mentioned that the Kingdom is first there. And when was the last time you dealt with a dealership sales manager who was also a youth pastor? This was probably the most complete, calming, and comfortable big purchase - let alone vehicle purchase - that we've made.
