Must mention the receptionist who greeted me - Eva? - warm and friendly who paired us with Maria. Maria stayed with us from beginning to end. She knew exactly the type of vehicle my mom would be comfortable driving. Ron was very helpful in getting the right accessories to fit my moms needs in her vehicle and Dan was very thorough with explaining the numbers and warranty to us as well. Overall, the team was great and never felt any pressure of purchasing a vehicle, accessories or warranty that was not necessary. My mom LOVES her car and it really suits her. For the past couple days, finding a car with the right deals was a challenge for my fam Words can't explain how helpful Maria was to my parents and I! For the past couple days, finding a car with the right deals was a challenge for my family and we wanted to make sure we made the right investments, but there was no luck at the dealerships we went to (Windward). However, going to Tony Group Autoplex in Waipio definitely turned our tables around! Maria is such a great listener and wanted what was truly best for us. She helped us picked the car we wanted and made us do a test-run with the car and made sure everything was okay. She invests in her work earnestly and that's what makes her a great Sales Consultant! She gave my parents and I all our options and she was so thorough in explaining the finance perspective of the various ways of purchasing a car! Ever been on a bullet train? Our original idea was to check out a Santa Fe(on the same lot), no salesman in site. We were ready to leave and I mentioned checking out Honda. By thi Our original idea was to check out a Santa Fe(on the same lot), no salesman in site. We were ready to leave and I mentioned checking out Honda. By this time, I'm hesitant to go back. My husband decided that since we were here already... A salesman located near the driveway entrance asked where we headed(no one was there earlier) so we said Honda. We parked, and this is where the train ride started, before we even make into the showroom, a salesman - Gunner is there. It is a whirlwind of information and a test drive. Reeling from all the overload, we're rushed into the showroom and processed to purchase a CR-V. Gunner seems to be a nice guy, but underlying pushy. The price negotiation was more in the company's favor than ours. It seemed that if I even attempted to get in a word edge wise, I immediately got "scolded." Our trade-in was taken in at a low rate and less than $500 off the MSRP. All this waiting was over an hour and a half. Too long, the test drive was shorter! The nicest part of our 'ride' was talking with the accessories salesman, nice older gentleman, he was easygoing and I didn't feel pressured at all. We got what we wanted and at a fairly good price. The final part of this train ride was the finance manager, I forgot his name - not local, we're tired and hungry and ready to leave. He sees this at swoops in. If any part of this process it should be here where trust is ultimate. NOPE. This guy sits us down, tells us "you know what? I'm gonna give you the GAP coverage and extended warranty." I look at my husband thinking I was hearing things, no we heard the same thing. We both profusely thank him, thinking "wow, another nice guy." NOPE!!! After that, sign here and here and here and here and here. Briefly he went over the lemon law, sign here. He did say sign here for the GAP coverage, never did he say "this is how much it will cost." Same went for the extended warranty. What just happened? Hello, I just taken for a ride, no pun intended. My overpriced car just got pricier - almost $4,000 pricier. What happened to honesty and transparency? Obviously, some consumers left happy. We left with a 'huh what just happened?' Then on 5/20/2017 my husband picked up our heat shield. We were unable to get it the week prior when I received the call. He unwrapped it only to find out it's for the Odyssey, not the CR-V! Now, we have to make another trip out to Waipio. More
