It was a positive experience overall. The salesman was the best part about it, and the finance guy was nice too. It’s rare to not feel pressured or like you’re being hustled at a car dealership. the best part about it, and the finance guy was nice too. Tom is the most unprofessional employee with whom I have ever dealt, other than the man who identified himself to me as Marc Brodleib, who I believe owns this dealership. I have had the same problem with my ever dealt, other than the man who identified himself to me as Marc Brodleib, who I believe owns this dealership. I have had the same problem with my Jeep for over a year-it was purchased in the early summer of 2020. Something was wrong with the computer that enabled the console screen. I have been to this dealership five times to fix it and I have called U Connect multiple times for advice since this dealership seemed unable to address the problem. The fourth time, they tried to install a new radio unsuccessfully yet still told me my vehicle was finally fixed, only to have the backup camera seize on me once again and the computer screen intermittently go completely blue (I have tape recordings of this). Each time I brought this vehicle into service, they were sure to refuse me a loaner vehicle, stating that their policy was to refuse loaners to clients that purchased / leased vehicles via a broker. I chose to purchase my vehicle through a broker last year over safety concerns due to COVID. Shame on me for such an outrageous decision! So yesterday, I brought my car in for the fifth time, and I was there about an hour when I inquired how much more time it would take. They said it was fixed at that time, but after numerous conversations over the course of a year with their Uconnect representative, I asked if he could confirm that a certain version of the software had been installed (the latest software update, basically, which I had noted to be sure to remember) and he replied that no, the latest software was not installed because the second new radio they ordered would not accept it. I decided to stay, not taking their word for it, and called Uconnect on speaker, with this employee, and this employee explained to the rep how the screen would go blank when they tried to download it off their computer, so they just installed the previous version because of this glitch. THIS PREVIOUS VERSION, COMBINED WITH THE PREVIOUS RADIO, WAS THE ROOT CAUSE OF ALL THE PROBLEMS I EXPERIENCED WITH THIS JEEP! The Uconnect rep then explained to this employee and technician exactly how to go into the dealer portal, download the software and install it. Now call me crazy, but wouldn’t you think that the dealership would know how to install a software update on their own vehicle? Let’s say now, I was more than perturbed, because it was over a year and 5 days from work that I had to take off, I was angry. I was angry because I was so frustrated with their either incompetence or laziness. Or perhaps they held back on “the solve” because they seem to have such disdain for someone purchasing their vehicle through a broker. We all came to the same conclusion on the speaker conference call that the vehicle was in fact, not repaired and I asked how much more time this would now take. This employee asked that I just give him more time to fix the vehicle and I couldn’t help but remind him that he / the dealership, had already had a year to figure this out, which I believed, was plenty of time. He then called me a curse word and said he would give me a loaner. That brought me from angry to furious, not only because he cursed at me, the customer, for obviously proving his ineptitude, but also because they had been so adamant about not being able to provide a loaner the four previous times I was there, forcing me to take off additional days. When they called to say the vehicle was finally repaired that afternoon, I brought the loaner down and asked to speak with a manager to complain about this employee’s behavior before I accepted my vehicle back. I spoke with the assistant manager and explained the entire journey I had been through and the events of that day, when out of nowhere, a man ran over, interrupted us, and started yelling that if what I said was true, that if Tom Hearn who worked for him for 35 years cursed at me then I deserved it and instigated it and I shouldn’t have bought my car “through some piece of xxxx broker” and that I should “get the F out of here we don’t want your business.” I was so taken aback that I ask for his name and he identified himself as Marc Brodlieb. I simply could not believe it, so I decided to tape this man. Once I started to film, I asked him to repeat what he had just said to me with the cursing and all and he stated, “You’re lying, I never said that” and then some other employee told me it was “time to go” and began to usher me out of the dealership as if I was a threat. What in the world kind of business is this? I have never experienced such pugnacious customer service and menacing behavior at a workplace. (I am sure they have video surveillance at the dealership that can corroborate my story and I have already obtained the taped recordings of Tom Hearn cursing at me.) As for Marc, I realized he must have been their boss because no manager would let a used car salesman talk to a client like this. The surrounding employees just stood silent and in disbelief. (Once again, I have the videotape). I wish they gave me the opportunity to give this dealership, and tangentially Jeep, ZERO stars. I will never ever consider buying or leasing a Jeep vehicle again because of this traumatic experience. More
