Been using Toyota of Cool Springs for over 10 years because they’re the best. The team really cares about the work they do and it shows. This dealership is the ONLY place I go for servicing my Landcrui because they’re the best. The team really cares about the work they do and it shows. Very unpleasant experience with the service department. Toyota notified us of a recall on the white paint for the 2012 Toyota RAV 4. I am a teacher and it is very difficult to get off of work. I brought it Toyota notified us of a recall on the white paint for the 2012 Toyota RAV 4. I am a teacher and it is very difficult to get off of work. I brought it in on my last day of the break, only to find out I should have taken it to the collision center first for an estimate. My service rep, Jordan Stanton, was so unpleasant for my first visit that I almost refused to work with him on my return visit after receiving the collision estimate. He acted impatient and apathetic, as if I was keeping him from something more important. We will soon be in the market for two vehicles, and this experience has made me consider an alternative manufacturer, such as Honda. I hope that management realizes a customers experience with the service department can impact future sales. More
Service Absent From I promise this will be a great five minute read. If you are a minority, expect Toyota of Cool Springs to discriminate and treat one poorly. I ha I promise this will be a great five minute read. If you are a minority, expect Toyota of Cool Springs to discriminate and treat one poorly. I have used Toyota of Cool Springs for scheduled maintenance for past two years for two Toyota vehicles we own (2015 and 2018, both acquired from Toyota). YOU WILL HAVE A BETTER EXPERIENCE TAKING YOUR VEHICLE TO NASHVILLE ZOO AND HAVE MONKIES WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE COMPARED TO HAVING CAR SERVICED AT THIS DEALER. Take a moment and look at all the online reviews. My quick observation looking at the reviews, this dealer does not care to address any negative feedback or customer’s concern. This speaks to their professionalism, or there lack of.. This is exactly how they will address your concern when you have one - by ignoring you and being absent. I purchased a 2018 Toyota Camry XLE with 12 miles on odometer. Six months and 10,000 miles later, I dropped my car at the Toyota of Cool Springs for a regular maintenance – the appointment which Toyota “recommends” in order to maintain the warranty on a new vehicle. The service advisor was gracious and polite, and I got my car back the same day, nice and clean. Third day after the service, I was driving to Nashville and the car started to stutter, heat up, and bunch of bells and whistles on the console started to go off. This was in early morning rush hour on I-65N. I pulled over and shut the car off. A few minutes later, I turned on the car and everything was back to normal, so I thought. The car heated again, and this time I did not have an opportunity to move the car on shoulder. SO, I am stuck on the middle lane on I65 with a car that turned itself off because it was overheated. I called Toyota for assistance, they told me that a tow provider will arrive in 2 hours while I am sitting in a parked car in the middle of I65. I called the said dealership, the lady put me on hold, then transferred and later came back on the phone with the customer service number. Remember I asked to look at the reviews, WHEN YOU WILL HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE, NO ONE WILL BE PRESENT FOR YOU AT THIS DEALERSHIP. Later in the evening, I was informed that oil and oil plug was missing. Apparently, they forgot to put the new oil in my car – the only thing they were supposed to do on a brand new car’s scheduled oil change, the only purpose of the scheduled visit at the Toyota of Cool Springs! Of course, they assured me that everything is fine with the engine, even though I drove my car three days without any oil in the car’s engine. According to the service manager at the Toyota of Cool Springs, they use some “special oil” which allows the engine to run dry. THEY USE MAGIC OIL. I was trying to understand, Toyota’s warranty states that if an owner misses their recommended maintenance, Toyota would void the warranty. But when dealer’s action yield in oil starved engine, all is well. Remember those magic grits in My Cousin Vinny? Apparently, they use some magic oil so laws of Physics cease to exist in the Toyota engine. SO after days of back and forth, Toyota offered 100,000 bumper to bumper warranty. This was a good compromise. Once someone misleads me, I have a difficult time trusting them. At one occasion when I picked up my car at Toyota of Cool Springs, the final invoice stated that the car was washed and cleaned. When I got the car, the car was filthy. SO, I asked the advisor that my invoice shows that you washed my car but it does not appear that way. Service advisor told me that the car wash was not functional so they did not wash the car. I completely understand that the car wash was not working, but having it stated on the invoice while not done casts more doubts on their ethics Last week, I was driving the same vehicle at about 40MPH. I heard a loud gunshot noise and then hissing and metal scratching. As a responsible citizen, I decided to pull over to see what made the noise. As there was nothing wrong with the car, I got in the car and started driving. The noise is now gone, but when I got on I65 the noise started again. I recorded the noise on my telephone. Not knowing what is wrong with the car, I pulled into Toyota of Cool Springs. I tell “service” advisor what had just happened and the played the noise on the phone. The “service” advisor gives me two options leave my car there OR drive away. Drive? Drive to Nashville? A Toyota Certified "Service Advisor" told me to take the car and drive to Nashville without taking time to determine what was causing the noise? Is this service advisor born without a brain? At this time, I am beyond frustrated. In any profession it is not a good idea to call a boss or a customer and tell them that one has vehicle trouble, again. I would admit that I was less that kind with my words. I just has a $34,000 car with less that 40,000 miles rattled, hissed and screeched. I told the advisor that this situation was a “fudging” nonsense. “Only I didn't say "Fudge." I said THE word, the big one, the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word!” (Christmas Story, 1983) Of course, they were offended that used “the queen-mother of dirty words, the "F-dash-dash-dash" word!” (Christmas Story, 1983) I recommend Beaman Toyota for all things Toyota. I have used Beaman on several occasions and they will take excellent care of your car and you. For sales or service, call Beaman Toyota. They are honest and they care. My experiences over time with the employees indicated below was great. Steve, on surface, was sincere in his communications. Rycine was fantastic to interact with, great personality and friendly. Worked with Jeff during the summer looking at Tacoma trucks. I was very undecided but he let me test drive the different models. But after test drives I was still undecided. At that point I wanted to trucks. I was very undecided but he let me test drive the different models. But after test drives I was still undecided. At that point I wanted to wait and see what changes came for the 2020. Months went buy and 2020 Tacoma was released. Few weeks ago I decided I wanted a 2020 Tacoma and Jeff found the perfect one for me and brought in. Very happy with his professionalism on selling me a new truck. Many thanks to Jeff and all of Toyota Cool Springs. Great place to get your next vehicle. More
