Jay Tuffli from Toyota of Gladstone was exceptional! Our initial contact was through the Costco Online program. Jay never seemed to get frustrated when we would ask for more information or to go look at the cars "again". Initially, we just went to Toyota of Gladstone to "look", but Jay was able to give us an extrememly fair trade-in value for our car. He also did a little leg-work to have the Rav4 that we wanted shipped to his dealership since he didn't have one in stock. Our car was delivered within just a few days. It was in pristine condition upon delivery. Although Jay was out of town on the day we picked it up, he had everything ready, including the Cargo Mat and touch-up paint that we requested. He had Seth Dustin go over the delivery worksheet with us and Seth was also exceptional with his patience with questions and his thoroughness with explaining the features of the vehicle. Both Jay and Seth made us feel that we were the only customers in the showroom. Although our home is only 1.5 miles away from a local Toyota dealership, we would be willing to make the 45 minute drive to the Gladstone Dealership again because of the truly exceptional customer service that we received from Jay and the rest of the crew at Gladstone Toyota. Jay's friendly, non-pressured approach to selling vehicles is highly respected and these days it seems hard to come by such wonderful customer service. We will be happy to recommend him to others so that they may have the same auto purchasing experience that we had. We love our new RAV4, too!!! More

My wife and I found a particular 2011 Sienna that we liked and negotiated with Jay Tuffli over email. He was very quick with his best price, and I eventually put a $500 credit card deposit on the car. I liked and negotiated with Jay Tuffli over email. I asked about extra fees, and Jay told me there were only about $90 in fees for the temporary license and something else I can't remember. I was a bit nervous that there would be extra fees or that there would be some sales shenanigans. When we drove down from Seattle, WA to the dealership in Gladstone, OR, Jay was very friendly and there were, indeed, no extra fees. We came in, looked at it, test drove it, and did all the paperwork in about 2 hours, which was great. We liked Jay a lot and would highly recommend him. Two things to note: 1. The car had no floor mats, and my wife thought it was a bit chintzy given how much a Sienna XLE AWD costs (ie, a lot). Jay was able to convince his GM to send us floor mats after we had already left, with my wife grumbling about floor mats. That really put Jay over the top as far as customer service, and we appreciate that. 2. The finance guy in the back room tried very hard to sell us extra warranties and add-ons. We thought he crossed the line by "throwing in" a 2-year/25k mile maintenance package. He made it sound like you had to buy the warranty to get it, but it was a freebie Toyota incentive at the time. After we said no multiple times, he relented and said the maintenance package was free and we'd get it anyways. We didn't like that at all. Toyota is already trying to repair its quality image, and we really didn't think we needed a hard sell to pay thousands extra in case it had issues 5-7 years down the line. Toyota dealers should say "we believe in our cars and don't think most people need the extra warranty, but it does provide peace of mind if you want that" and not do the stereotypical car dealer hard sell. This last point is why we gave a 4 for overall experience instead of a 5. More
Duy was great. The finance person 'David' had to stay late to get all the paperwork done and I know he wanted to go home but he stayed for as long as it took. It was a good experience. I still feel terrible about the finance person that was going through all the work for me.... for that I am truly sorry because I didn't get out of the dealership until 9:30 ot 10:00 that night.
