Sorry we disagree with your statement. Whether we were close or far apart, it only matters when all parties are in agreement. The Internet Manager Jay Rim made an offer to you on Saturday which you did not accept, but did acknowledge. At that point, your interest in the vehicle is just that, its an interest nothing more. You have no rights to the vehicle, the dealership does as we own the vehicle. A different customer made a offer on the same vehicle which was accepted. You were notified via e-mail when we received another offer on the vehicle. So the dealership was transparent when the offer was received. Your "first come first serve" statement only applies when all parties are in agreement. It does not apply when both parties are still negotiating. According to your logic, even if the parties are not in agreement you have first rights simply because you inquired first? In addition, how do you even know the other customer did not start the process before you did? You are assuming you were first to inquire when in fact you were not. You lost out on this vehicle for one singular reason and that is you didn't come to terms or accept the offer provided by the dealership. There is no other reason. Lastly, given the current COVID19 pandemic, businesses are running on limited staff and hours, not only for the safety of our customers but also for our employees.

Im not saying that I had rights to the vehicle. I have even acknowledged that you have no loyalty whatsoever to me for any reason. Just was a complete negative experience like I have never had at any of the Toyota dealerships I and my family have ever worked with. I didnt accept the offer made on Saturday, but we were still working on something. In fact, Jay had asked me where I would be registering the car, and when I responded I heard absolutely nothing back. That was the end of communication from him. I wasnt notified when you received another offer. It wasnt until after I had not heard back from Jay that I sent him emails asking where we were at. It was my second email that he responded to, saying that you had received another offer "that morning" that you "were going to look at." Not quite as transparent as you claim. Also, if all of your sales associates were being honest, the car was still available and no other offers were on the table. In Jay's own words, the offer came in that morning. Furthermore, there were times when your sales people did not follow up, such as by the sales person Ana who was going to get back to me when the sales manager got back to her...nor did Juan get in touch with until 5 days after I was told he would by Mary Green. I was also sent a "Vehicle Purchase Certificate" by your dealership on Friday night from your dealership congratulating me on my purchase. Receiving that, and having Jay work with me on Saturday, why would seem like the car already had another offer? I also could not get to an "agreement" on the car without your sales people responding, or Jay, suddenly not responding. We can agree to disagree. Let others who read this take what they want from it.

When you e-mailed Jay Monday afternoon, he did notify you that we had received a competing offer on the vehicle in question. Whether he e-mailed you directly or responded to your e-mail is inconsequential. You were provided notification that we had another offer. The dealership put its best foot forward in its offer to you on Saturday. Jay kindly offered to match the price of our vehicle to another one you had seen elsewhere which had less equipment and had an accident reported in its history. Should you have decided to accept the offer at that time, then we would have politely declined the offer we received on Monday. You chose not to move forward with our offer on Saturday. The dealership in turn decided to accept the offer we received later. It seems you were waiting on us to do something further after we took the initial step of lowering the price of the vehicle. At anytime, you could have given us a counter offer to the initial proposal.

I was exchanging emails back and forth with him regarding the price on the car on Saturday. The last portion of it involved: Jay - well if we get to the point of finance, I would send you in for approval before you get here. 3.29% is for Tier 1 plus. I think our vehicle had tires replaced? Me - I dont think I will qualify for Tier 1+. Going to have to see where we can get at payment wise with what interest rate. Jay - does getting 3.29% at the price i quoted before move us forward? Me - As I said before, it is close. I can use payment estimators/calculators on my end, but not sure how it will actually shake out. At that interest rate, if all of the fees (title, tags, documentation, etc.) are included and I know there are 4 new tires on the car, I am real close Jay - whats the payment you are trying to get to? Me - Id like to be as close to $_ _ _ as possible but I know I will have to come up some. Jay - Where is the vehicle being registered? I then responded where I lived and he did NOT respond back. He asked me a simple question, to which I answered. But then I never heard anything. Not a sorry, we are too far off. Not a yes, I think we can do that, lets run your credit. Not a sorry, it isnt going to work. No response. It was then on Monday only after I had emailed him asking where we were at after being left in the dark on Saturday that he finally responded that the other offer came in that day "We received another offer for the Camry this morning. We are also looking at that deal." Not a deal from a week ago as I was told over the phone by another one of your sales associates today. There it is. Sleep how you want to at night. Im just one potential customer. Nothing I am sure you worry about. Im just putting forth my review. After feeling like the conversation just died. After Ana not getting back to me...which I get, she responded to my cars.com inquiry but she isn't working there at the moment...after Mary Green told me another associate would follow up with me after she insinuated another Toyota dealership was falsely advertising a car as being Toyota Certified, and after receiving a 'Vehicle Purchase Certificate" from your dealership on Friday night. As you know, I thanked and applauded Jay for working with me on Saturday. But reading the conversation above, does it seem like I walked away from your offer, or was trying to work with it? Who ended the conversation? Jay did...by not responding. How could I not think something was still being looked into? Let the review readers decide. And Toyota USA. But you dont care, nor need to.
