Absolutely DESPICABLE behavior from the Toyota of Richardson dealership, particularly CURT MILLS of the Finance Department. We had finished all of our paperwork and had finalized our sale for a car a Richardson dealership, particularly CURT MILLS of the Finance Department. We had finished all of our paperwork and had finalized our sale for a car after working through with them for over 6 hours, and then the finance representative came over and said that they would not sell us the car because they got another offer, despite already receiving our signatures and having been 6+ hours in the process of finalizing our purchase. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL behavior with NO RESPECT for the customers, our time, or our business. We have never been so outrageously DISRESPECTED by a dealership. It is clear that Toyota of Richardson WANTS NOTHING OUT OF YOU BUT YOUR MONEY, even if they are scamming you and selling you the shortest end of the stick. We will continue to reach out to everyone we know to NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. More

Bought a used car from their used car lot (Now euphemistically known as "pre-owned" since used car has that...you know...used car salesman reputation). Well...Toyota of Richardson is a used car l euphemistically known as "pre-owned" since used car has that...you know...used car salesman reputation). Well...Toyota of Richardson is a used car lot in the old, crappy reputation sense. The salesman continued to tout...Berkshire this and Berkshire that. He also continuously spoke about their inspection process several times. As if these were selling points. A little more on the inspection in a minute... Then we got to talk about price...they had advertised the car price at around $16,500. When we started talking about price he told me they were adding around $3,000 to the price and that it was listed as "dealer work and accessories" or something similar to that. I asked him what had been added to the used car. He said nothing had been added, but that it was a charge for "market conditions." So, just understand, that the price they are advertising...is not the price they expect you to pay once they have wasted your time in getting you into the dealership with a lower advertised price. And then they dishonestly call this additional charge something other than what it is (it is a "market conditions" charge, not a "dealer accessories" charge). In other words, they are trying to gouge the crap out of their customers. Then, after getting the car down to a reasonable price, we bought it. Two days after getting it to the house, I noticed an oil leak on the driveway beneath the car. So much for their bragged-about inspection of the used cars. I wouldn't trust these guys to service a vehicle if that is the standard that they accept. I ended up fixing it (It was simply an old oil drain bolt that needed to be replaced), but not after being ignored by their used car service department (that was responsible for the inspection in the first place). Any mechanic worth his salt would have been able to diagnose this and fix it before sending it out to be sold. I am still waiting on a call back from their service department rep more than a month after buying this car. So two things to keep in mind if you decide to do business with these crooks...first, the advertised price is not what they will try to charge you when you get there. They're going to inflate it and call it a "dealer accessories" charge or some bullcrap like that. And, second, do your own thorough inspection of the vehicle before finalizing the deal. Because as much as they brag about their "inspection process" they really didn't inspect anything. It's unfortunate they treat their customers like this. I used to take my RAV4s there for service regularly. But after this treatment, there is not a chance in xxxx I will ever step foot back in this dealership. More
I took my 2018 Toyota Tundra in to be serviced at Toyota of Richardson. Check engine light on, engine making noise on acceleration and o2 sensor needs to be replaced. After paying the $359.88 in labor for of Richardson. Check engine light on, engine making noise on acceleration and o2 sensor needs to be replaced. After paying the $359.88 in labor for the o2 sensor to be installed ($177.44 for part) and getting clear code and "car drives smoothly" on report back from the service department, I continue to hear the engine noise upon acceleration. Take it in to a local shop, same description, engine noise upon acceleration and just had the o2 sensor replaced, within 15 minutes technician shows me where the passenger side exhaust has a cut in it where someone was trying to steal the catalytic converter. Wow. The shop welded the exhaust back for free and charged me $60 to diagnose the issue. And to think I went to Toyota thinking they would know best. Complete disappointment in Toyota of Richardson. The dealership won’t conduct business with out of town banks and didn’t mention anything….until my bank sent the drafting instructions for receiving funds. My loan officer contacted the dealership and was banks and didn’t mention anything….until my bank sent the drafting instructions for receiving funds. My loan officer contacted the dealership and was transparent from the beginning on drafting process. The dealership agreed and accepted, until they found out I was driving over 500 miles from out of town. The dealership quickly changed their mind and requested a cashier check or no deal. It came down to the dealership wanting me to finance through them or use someone they recommended. My guess is they get a kick-back in return (finders fee) if I chose to finance. So my wife and I decided to conduct our business with a different dealership. Toyota of Richardson should state on their website they don’t accept out of town banks. I’m sure that would save time for other customers who experienced what I did. More
