Review title I have been waiting for an opportunity to voice my concerns about my car. This is not in any way a reflection of the dealership. I have 2009 Corolla I have been waiting for an opportunity to voice my concerns about my car. This is not in any way a reflection of the dealership. I have 2009 Corolla which I purchased prior to my retirement. My intention was to have this car for many years to come. My last car was a Saturn which I had for 13 years. I put very little mileage on a car but I want a dependable car. I had looked at Toyotas and Nissans and I decided on the Toyota. I have had both Toyota and Nissans in the past. I love the car but I don't like the problems I am having with it. It has already needed the head gasket replaced and some very expensive mechanism in the front seat. I am now retired and I wanted a reliable car with low maintenance. I am so extremely disappointed in Toyota. I am considering trading it after my extended warranty expires, something I did not want to do. I wanted to have this car for as long as I had my prior cars. Overall, I really love my car, but not the problems it has. I'm very disappointed. Please know that I received very good service. Very prompt, very courteous. More
I brought my car in for service after an accident. The car was fixed at an auto body shop, but the seat belt/airbag light would not shut off and the center arm console was not secure--it wobbled after the car was fixed at an auto body shop, but the seat belt/airbag light would not shut off and the center arm console was not secure--it wobbled after the accident. The service tech fixed the air bag/seat belt lights and alarm, but did not fix the arm console and gave me one more issue: Now there was a rattle in the dashboard. The tech also said that he would fix the driver side floor mat that had broken hooks to keep it in place, but when I got my car back they were not fixed. This is still creating a driving safety hazard. The service center did not know what they were doing at all. When I got there I waited on one line and then when I was finally seen, I was told I had to go to another (auto body) person. I waited in front of her desk for quite a while as she did some paperwork and ignored me. When she was finally finished, she said I was in the wrong place and sent me back to the original person I waited for. Kevin was rude and needs to learn the concept of "the customer is always right." At least when the customer is expressing an opinion that is completely irrelevant to the car service. I expressed my dismay that most car service centers offered their customers free coffee, but this place had a Dunkin' Donuts. Kevin seemed to take it personally that I commented on this and defended the dealership as though he owned it. It was completely unnecessary and only compounded my bad service experience making me feel unvalued as a customer. I will never go back to this Toyota dealer and will not recommend it. I mentioned this on several social networking sites while I was still there and also several times since then. More
Owned many cars in my life, and dealt with many dealerships, by far Toyota of Scranton ranks right where it belongs on top. They are efficient, reliable, and treat customers with respect and dignity. Their waiting area is spotless, and comfortable. Having a Dunkin donuts on sight is an added bonus. I finance two Prius vehicles with Toyota financing and even that was a nice experience. I cant imagine going to any other dealership to get my next car. Way to go guys you are all first class. More
I have had a few service appointments here since I purchased a new Toyota tundra last year. I have experienced an arrogant service associate, Rick, and poor service. Had new tires mounted prior to winter (the buy 3 get 1 free sale); I was allowed to delay the 4 wheel alignment. Came back in a month later for alignment and inspection, and they let me know that the ins free sale); I was allowed to delay the 4 wheel alignment. Came back in a month later for alignment and inspection, and they let me know that the inspection I had planned concurrently was actually a little early (my error) - they technically could do it, but it would short the duration on the old sticker. Since I'd be back soon enough for a routine service interval, and they didn't just go and do the unnecessary work, the heads up was appreciated. This is one of the many benefits of Toyota Scranton - they give you flexibility and options, and perform as true advisors during sales AND service. More

I visited Toyota of Scranton because my vehicle was due for an oil change and tire rotation. Even thought there are other places I can go for this type of service I choose here because the service is cons for an oil change and tire rotation. Even thought there are other places I can go for this type of service I choose here because the service is consistent, fair and honest. They take notice of those waiting to minimize the wait time. The waiting area is well equipped and comfortable with several TVs, Wi-Fi, device charging stations, clean rest rooms and a Dunkin Donuts outlet. If you'd like a ride to the Mall and back, or someplace else nearby, they'll do that for you. If special work is needed, the service managers fully explain the situation and what the alternatives might be. In my case, I agreed to have the brakes replaced, but deferred the throttle body work 'til next time. The service department is a huge factor in my decision to buy my next car here. More

Service person was courteous and friendly. From questions I asked it was obvious he has a lot of experience and is knowledge about the Toyota Camry and maintenance the Camry needs. My clutch went out during a road trip on July 4 when everything was closed. Luckily, I was near Scranton when it happened (I could have been much further away, which would have been awful!). A major rep everything was closed. Luckily, I was near Scranton when it happened (I could have been much further away, which would have been awful!). A major repair like this will never come cheap, but I had to continue my trip and leave my poor car with the dealership until they could fix it. While it was extraordinarily expensive once I combined the cost of towing (even with AAA), the cost of taxis, the cost of rental cars, and the cost of the actual repairs, when I evaluated and discussed the bill with my family, we determined that the cost of the parts and labor were likely relatively fair. There is a premium for dealership repairs, but if you don't know someone, you have to go to a dealership because you have no other choice. However, you can be sure they will fix it. After all, I am not in the business of repairing cars. My car is making strange noises when I turn the wheel--and I believe I have pinpointed the problem as being my wheel well which pops in and out (hopefully)--and it may have resulted from the work the dealership did--but overall, my car is running fine. The piece of mind alone was extremely valuable. I had to trust a company with the keys to my broken car. This is not a position anyone ever wants to be in, but it happens. There is a lot of trust that goes into the relationship between customer and mechanic. I was lucky to be close enough to a dealership to fix this problem. I don't live in Scranton, so I likely won't be back, but if I did live there, I would definitely go back. More
