Honest Dealership even with Bad News that Actually Listen Our car was totaled on May 10th due to a distracted driver that nearly killed myself and our 2 year old daughter. Thanks to the Hyundai Accent we were Our car was totaled on May 10th due to a distracted driver that nearly killed myself and our 2 year old daughter. Thanks to the Hyundai Accent we were driving and my husbands quick thinking and steering, we survived a major car accident. Universal Hyundai sales manager, associate, and finance manager all listened to us when we were upset and frustrated at being lied to, and jerked around by another dealership. They understood our anger, listened to what were wanted to see, and did not try to force a test drive when we told them we didn't need to drive the vehicles. We came in looking at the Tuscan and on our sales associates recommendations, and after seeing the vehicle ourselves, we bought the 2016 Hyundai Sonata. He listened to our story of the car crash, our dealership anger, and our daughters needs with a car seat and based on what we told him, he made the recommendation with confidence. My husband had already done the research and the Sonata was the next car in line after the Tuscan and knew the sales associate was listening to our needs. The sales manager and finance manager were open and honest given our very difficult situation and credit issues. They did not try to lie or sugar coat the truth, but were open and honest with us about what they could and could not do right from the start. We knew our monthly was going to be crazy high, but were more than willing to take that deal as long as they were willing to be open and upfront with us the entire way through the deal. They did their best, and after a short period of time, we sealed the deal. The sales manager and finance manager told us they would work on the deal again in the morning, and delivery was setup for the following day once a document was sent over to satisfy the bank. The following day they told us to come get the car and they had good news for us. They were able to get the GAP and full front to back 10 year 100K warranty my husband wanted, and lowered the interest rate, with the monthly payment dropping a little as well. We were very happy, and they honored their words. The day before they were honest with us about some bad news, given our difficult situation and having already car loans still on our credit history, they knew the interest rate was going to be very high, but rather than pretend and lie, they were up front and honest about what they really could and could not do. In the end this honesty is why we signed the deal with the high payment. The surprise of the better deal with added features, and lower interest rate was the dealerships way of coming through when we really needed it. This made all the difference in the world to my family after a traumatic car accident and a rough experience at another dealership, that was not a Hyundai dealership. I told my husband we should just have come to Universal in the first place, and he agreed in the end. Thank You to the staff that helped when our daughter got cranky, to the sales associate and sales manager that were honest and listened, and to the finance manager who worked hard to land us a better deal the next day. You all took a bad situation and turned it into a great experience. You have a client for life. More
