I would leave 0 stars if that was an option Possibly the worst dealership I’ve ever dealt with. I called the dealership and was set up with Daniel and explained my different situation to him and told him before I flew or drove from NC to purchase said vehicle I would need numbers that sounded agreeable. He said okay, that he would get them to me as soon as possible. An hour and a half later I had only received a generic email with a link to the vehicle I was interested in. So I called him and asked how the process was going and informed him I would be unavailable for the next few hours but I needed the numbers ASAP so I could decide if I was going to travel from NC to Orlando. I never received anything from Daniel. I had to have a family member contact him in the morning as I was on a flight. He was very rude and still could not provide the needed information. 5 hours later I was on the ground in NC from my flight and called him asking why he had yet to contact my step father back and he lied saying he was still waiting for a call back. When my step father had called over an hour prior and left a message. Daniel could not provide any numbers except an “estimate” using the online “calculate my payment” calculator. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told none were available. Fast forward to that night when I arrived from NC to Orlando at Universal Nissan. Daniel is not a sales person, and we will not even be meeting with him... we were given a new person to deal with named Kevin. Kevin seemed kind and interested in helping at first. Allowed us to take a test drive and when we sat down to discuss numbers had a huge attitude when telling me that my vehicle I would be trading in had a bad carfax when I had told them it had never been in any accidents. My step father asked if we could see the carfax and Kevin ignored him and continued talking to me about the numbers. My step father again asked to see the carfax. Kevin stormed off with an attitude and came back with a carfax and threw it towards my step father. Kevin continued to ignore my step father as he reviewed the carfax and continued trying to discuss the numbers with me. My step father now threw back the carfax because this carfax was not for my vehicle! It was for an 08 Buick and my vehicle was a 11 Kia! Kevin never accepted his mistake instead came back with still a terrible attitude stating “well we were going to give you more for the Buick anyways so now the numbers are going to change”. They wanted to give me less for an older vehicle that had been in an accident! We told them that was unacceptable as Daniel had quoted what my vehicle was worth and it was nowhere near what they were offering me now for my trade. It was at least 2,000 less. The manager then came out saying that since my car had been in North Carolina it must be rusted from the snow and that is why they have to give me less. If anyone watches the weather they know that southern North Carolina gets maybe 6 inches of snow ONCE A YEAR and the back roads are too dangerous to attempt to drive on. Fast forward we have finally agreed upon numbers and we are filling out all the necessary paperwork with the finance office. When I go to sign the bill of sale I realize my down payment is listed as n/a. I tell the finance manager that I had planned on putting a down payment. He tells me that I don’t pay them (the dealership) the down payment, I need to pay my bank. When I arrive at my bank in the morning I tell her about the down payment and she tells me no, I needed to give that to the dealership. So I then contact Kevin who is also confused why the down payment wasn’t collected at the dealership and why I would need to pay my bank vs the dealership. He double checks with his desk manager who confirms, twice, that no- the down payment is not paid to my bank, it is to be paid to the dealership. Then I had to have them fax a new bill of sale to my bank, including the down payment, so that they could write a check for the proper amount. For a car dealership that’s sole purpose is to sell vehicles, how does this confusion even happen? Do you not collect down payments from your purchasers on a daily basis? How did my sales person who had been there 4 months know this procedure, but a finance manager did not? So now we have accepted delivery of my new-to-me vehicle and After spending thousands of dollars, we go to drive off. The vehicle has such low fuel that we can’t make it to my mothers house without stopping at the gas station. Luckily Kevin called to inform me I left my sunglasses so we turned around to pick them up and inquired about why they would sell a vehicle for thousands of dollars and not even ensure it had a full tank. Kevin didn’t seem to care and just said “that’s just how it is. Here I can give you $10 if you really need it” (Kevin didn’t have $10 to give us) we told him we didn’t want his personal money, but that it was extremely cheap of them to sell a vehicle with an empty tank of gas. Now, a couple days after making it back to NC I receive a phone call from the universal Nissan finance department. Kevin and the finance manager forgot to get a couple signatures. They offer to overnight the paperwork to me, but I tell them it needs to have a signature required because I do not want paperwork with my personal information and that must be important as it is going to be overnighted, sitting on my front door step. He then says well why don’t you just sign the paperwork when you are back? I tell him I don’t have plans to come back to town for some time and that if the paperwork needs to be signed before then, it will need to me mailed to me. He then is annoyed because “this paperwork is important to complete the deal” and “we needed this paperwork signed at the time of the deal” now, I am not a car sales person... I don’t know what needs to be done when I go to buy a car. I expect the people who are getting paid to do this job at what seemed to be a legitimate and reputable dealership to know what steps were needed to be taken before I drove 8 hours back to North Carolina. No, it seems as if they along every step of the car buying/selling process nobody was really sure what they were doing or what was going on. They now want to make this paperwork my problem when they are the ones who lousily forgot to have me sign it. So, overall this was a terrible experience. There is nothing positive I could say about my car buying experience with Universal Nissan. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Every person we dealt with seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Nobody was on the same page. It really is a shame that a dealership that has been around for years has yet to figure things out and get them right. More

Don't bother them! DON'T BOTHER THEM! I called today because I am having issues with the power adaptor in my 2014 Nissan Cube not working correctly. The young lady that DON'T BOTHER THEM! I called today because I am having issues with the power adaptor in my 2014 Nissan Cube not working correctly. The young lady that answered the repair shop phone, acted as though I was bothering her. I told her my issue and at first she acted like they couldn't help. She placed me on hold to check. She came back and then perproceeded to go through their schedule for services. I notified her that I was going out of state for the rest of the week and would like to drop off my car before I left and that they could keep it for the next 5 days to look over and fix. The young lady notified me that they had no open service times and couldn't help me. I reminded her that they could keep it for 5 days and look over it when they had time. The Nissan lady notified me that they had to a diagnostic first and they had NO open appointments for diagnostics and that it had to be diagnosed first. I notified her that I couldn't be without my car any other time. They still couldn't help me! Well, I hope I never need an emergency repair! How does anyone ever stop by to get repairs done? I plan on trading in my Nissan Cube this year for a new Nissan, I know I won't be going to Universal Nissan to get a new Nissan, since they don't support repairs for Nissans! More

Pleasant experience with everyone Everyone was very professional and attentive to my needs. It made the experience a lot easier to get pre-approved with CFE Credit Union in advance. Everyone was very professional and attentive to my needs. It made the experience a lot easier to get pre-approved with CFE Credit Union in advance. They have a partnership with Universal Nissan and referred me to check options for my new car. I wish I visited Universal Nissan first, but since I had purchased my 2004 Pathfinder and, my husband had purchased his 2009 Versa at Reed, I went there first as a loyalty. What a disappointment and difference in treatment! I believe the sales representative and management were either desperate for a big sale or just didn't care. They probably saw a 4.11 ft middle aged woman come in alone at the end of the month/year and thought...ca$$hing! Even after I informed him I was pre-approved for a 3.1% APR through CFE, he insisted in checking my credit again, stating I would lose rebates if not financing through them. He came back saying that due to my credit score, 610, I was approved for a 9% APR and that they would offer $250 for my car! I was shocked and asked him to explain how my credit score dropped from 765 to 610 in three hours, since I was pre-approved! I just laughed and thanked him for his time. Unbelievably he had the nerve to call me the next day to ask if I had decided anything. After doing some homework about my trade-in value and browsing Universal Nissan's website for a new Rogue, the first contact by email and phone to discuss some questions about the options was pleasant. Andrew was very professional and knowledgeable, encouraging me to make an appointment to visit the dealership to discuss the special End of the Year Deals. He followed through nicely, not pushy. At the dealership everyone was pleasant. Both the sales representatives, Sarfaraz Ahmed and William Sanchez were very nice and professional, taking the time to answer my questions and work with me, as well as to teach me about the car features and all those buttons. (I upgraded from a Pathfinder 2004, so there are a lot more buttons...lol) Bill Steinlauf, the finance Manager, was also very pleasant. Overall it was a great experience as everyone I dealt with was nice and patient, especially since it was New Year's Eve and we were all trying to go home to our celebrations. I will definitely recommend this dealership and its representatives to my friends and family. More
