The process was quick and transparent, with everything negotiated before our drive up from Fort Worth. Once there, we met with Ashley in Finance (at the time) and were pleasantly surprised when the numbers actually worked out to be less than I had agreed to over the phone. Like I said, these are great people, and the experience of buying with them was the best I've had. Unfortunately, the experience I have had with our new Ram 2500 has been far from pleasant. I was absolutely in love with the truck the day we picked it up and drove it back down to Fort Worth, but things have quickly gone downhill during our ownership. From a plethora of squeaks and rattles (seriously, there's someone typing out War and Peace on an old Hermes typewriter in my dash or under the hood - we can't find them) and poor paint quality (stay away from silver - very unevenly applied) to issues much more concerning. I've had violent, coffee-spilling shudders on deceleration courtesy of the transmission and frightening moments of cold-start surging that nearly caused me to hit another vehicle. I've never had such a terrible experience in ownership. The thing is, the folks at Vernon really seem to care. I've been working with a local dealership on my many service visits and I have not been impressed with the effort they have put forth in getting things resolved. Though I can't take my truck to Vernon for service, they still seem anxious to help me find a suitable resolution, and I'm confident that we will get there, thought it may take their help. Vernon are good people doing honest work. More
