*BUYER BEWARE* I have purchased dozens upon dozens of vehicles in the past, some with cash and some by financing. I have never had to complain on a dealership but felt that I had to get this out for buye vehicles in the past, some with cash and some by financing. I have never had to complain on a dealership but felt that I had to get this out for buyers to use caution dealing with VAG. In early February 2023, I contacted VAG to purchase a new truck someone had special ordered but backed out. VAG marked this particular truck up $20,000 OVER sticker. This alone should have been a red flag, but I ended up contacting them anyway since my friend had purchased a vehicle from them in the past and referred me. The particular truck I was going to purchase from them is sold at most dealers for MSRP or even under. However, this greedy place decided to "help me" by cutting the markup from $20k down to $10k. They absolutely refused to remove the markup completely and said $10k over or no sell. There excuse (the usual lies) was they wouldn't remove the markup completely because this was a specialty vehicle, and they were only allotted so many per year. Again, this particular truck was special ordered by an individual who backed out of the deal, leaving the dealership stuck with the truck. And the individual who ordered the truck was getting the truck at MSRP (sticker), but now that the person backed out, they put a $20k markup? Come on, really?? They low-balled me big time on my trade, which is expected, but their excuse for being able to lower the markup from $20k to $10K was because they decided to give me more money for my trade. So basically, the $10k markup was firm due to them adjusting my trade to be able to make up the difference, making it appear that I was getting a good deal because "hey we just gave you more money for your trade, but you still have to pay $10k markup." WOW. This confirmed without a doubt the greediness and horrible business practices here. I informed them that I found the exact same truck, color and all, at a dealership in Fort Worth, for MSRP, and they didn't care. The greedy and unprofessional GM, Mr. Dunson, refused to give me the name of his supervisor and literally hung up on me after I repeatedly asked him for his supervisor's contact info. When I told Mr. Dunson that I would be posting to social media, he texted, "Posting all over social media is a childish thing, so go to the other dealership and purchase from them. Gave you more for your trade and still not happy. One person like you does not justify our business." I was never once rude to any of these folks. Mr. Dunson was appointed to Executive GM at VAG in September of 2022, so I am curious to see how many other complaints he has. The man literally refused to tell me who his superior was and hung up on me while asking. *BUYER BEWARE* More
