Problem resolved quickly. (5 minutes) I took my 2018 Avalon to the dealer since the Lane Departure Warning lights in the mirror were not working. This was the second time I went to the dealer for the same problem and the first time they could not find a problem. When I left the dealership the first time I was advised if they stopped working again please return without an appointment and I would be handled promptly. I did return and without waiting the same mechanic who work on the car previously was paged to come to the write up desk. He got there shortly and was going to test drive car. I asked if I could go with him and he agreed. As soon as we got into the car he started it and pushed a button next to the trunk release. The lights in the mirror lite up. I am sure it was an OPERATOR PROBLEM (MINE) although the mechanic indicated I might have bumped it with my knee. I don't think so. Rather, I think I TURNED IT OFF when I tried to push the trunk release button without looking. If it happens again I know how to fix it! More

Service The young man was very courteous and friendly. When the car was done I had to go to a lady’s desk. She said I needed a filter next time. I said I noticed a slight smell when turning on the air conditioning. She proceeded to tell me rodents get inside the car and leave their droppings which can cause the smell. (!!!) and I should replace it next trip. Said it should be replaced at 10k and I said ok this is the 15k maintenance. Well she said it’s not too bad next time. I said it is included right. Her reply....no that is not included it’s part of your regular maintenance. Then I saw a paper taped next to her desk about filters and year numbers. My response was that it’s odd that the filter you mentioned is on your wall. Oh she said your car is a lease, it will be included. So why wasn’t it? And why isn’t the staff properly informed? Very poor customer connection. More
