W&L Subaru - Service Center

Overpriced I brought my car in for a 60k mike service. From research on consumer reports and other online resources I expected to pay around $500 for this. Whe I brought my car in for a 60k mike service. From research on consumer reports and other online resources I expected to pay around $500 for this. When I picked the car up my bill was over $900. I was picking up after hours so only the cashier was there. I called around to 5 other Subaru dealers in the area and was quoted anywhere from $500-700 for the same service. I also noticed that changing the transmission and differential fluid had not been done by W&L Subaru but the other dealers told me this was included (and recommended by Subaru) at 60k miles. When I spoke to the service manager about the cost I explained that I felt I had been overcharged. I noted they didn’t complete the recommended service they were able to explain why they were nearly double the price or why they didn’t perform the transmission and differential fluid change. No solution was offered. I won’t be back. These are the other dealers and their quoted prices: Blaise Alexander Subaru - $549 Fairway Subaru - $670 Stocker Subaru - $643 All three of these dealers explained the quoted price for 60k service included the differential and transmission fluid change. Over all good. All employees were helpful and pleasant. The waiting room was comfortable and good lighting. You could skip breakfast or lunch,the choices were great. Easy. Efficient. Went in for a service appointment as a college student living away from home. Appointment was extremely easy to schedule. The service area is very well labeled and easy to navigate. The service area seemed busy with customers but the turn around time for me and those around me was very quick. Staff are very friendly and upfront about price and other issues that may have been unexpected. Car was also washed with no additional charge. Great experience. More
