I scheduled an appointment to complete a recall a few weeks in advance. The dealership told me they would need my van all day. I called back to reschedule the week of the appt because I wouldn’t be able weeks in advance. The dealership told me they would need my van all day. I was assured if I brought it in after work, they would get it done by that evening because they’ve done many of these and they don’t take as long as they thought they would. I also informed them I would need a shuttle ride to an eye appt. They stated that wouldn’t be an issue. I arrived at the newly scheduled time, the shuttle was out, and they told me I was late for my appt. Luckily I had a text string to show I had indeed rescheduled to an afternoon slot, but I missed my eye appt and had to reschedule that. I waited thirty min for the shuttle and when I was finally dropped off, Bernard called and informed me my van would not be completed that day. When I explained that I didn’t have a ride lined up and with my husband’s hectic work schedule, it would be very challenging for me to reschedule. He informed me he was doing me a solid telling me well before they closed instead of later in the day. I did not feel like this was any favor at all, rather a major inconvenience. Had they informed me of this when I first arrived, I could have left with my van and made it to my eye appt on time. I ended up having to find people last minute to take me home and bring me back the next day. I also live an hour away from the dealership, so this was a major inconvenience for those I reached out to for rides and myself. More
