On October 26, 2012 we purchased a used 2008 F350 Dually with 45,000 miles on it from Walker Ford. We had a very short time frame to find a vehicle, so after looking for hours we came across Walker Ford. Th with 45,000 miles on it from Walker Ford. We had a very short time frame to find a vehicle, so after looking for hours we came across Walker Ford. The sales team was very outgoing and friendly. Due to time and the fact they were getting ready to close we didn't test-drive the truck and took their word when they said it had been serviced and that all inspections were done. Why should we have thought different? We have two other Fords and have not had any problems. Typically we deal with another Ford dealership due to the fact we live in Port Richey and their customer service has always been top notch, but they didn't have what we needed. The next day driving down 75 to go help out victims of Hurricane Sandy the truck was shaking so bad it was making us car sick, so bad it shook the running lights out of the side of the truck. Due to having to leave state, which Walker Ford knew about, we were not able to get the truck back to them until today. We did call them a couple weeks ago and explain the lights were gone, the windshield wiper fluid that come out the hood was broke and the tires were so chopped up in the front and all 4 yes let me say that again all 4 tires in the back are dry rotted. The used car manager told us the tires could not be replaced because the service department will charge them an extra 15 percent on the used car side. Shouldn't it all fall under Walker Ford and not 1 side over the other side. Now here is some information on dry rot of tires: What Are the Causes of Tire Dry Rot? RVs, boat trailers and classic cars all have one thing in common. They remain parked for long periods of time, so their tires are not & exercised or regularly used, leaving their tires susceptible to the onset of dry rot. Contributing Factors Several factors set tires up for dry rot to set in. Ozone and ultraviolet light (UV) are the chief environmental degradants that set up tires for dry rot. The tires have a wax added to them to help them flex while driving. However, the lack of exercise in vehicles parked for extended periods causes the rubber to become unflexible, especially the rubber sitting on the pavement. Certain petrochemical-based tire cleaners can strip the protective waxes and attack the rubber. The previous owner of this truck had it sitting for long periods of time with a truck bed camper in it. We have a friend who knows the owner so our facts are straight. When the truck was at Walker Ford today they told us there was nothing they could do about the tires, basically we were told we could have done that. I wish someone could explain to me how having a vehicle for a little over a month could cause the tires to dry rot. Not one, not two, not three, but all four tires in the back. This truck has not been sitting for a month. The previous owner replaced the tires in the front at 36000 miles and they are all chopped up. So how exactly could you have done an inspection and passed this vehicle off as safe with these tire problems. This does not happen in a month, we were even told this by another Ford dealership. We also bought the tire protection plan, but according to Brett that does not cover these types of issues, Go Figure. The rest of the visit today wasn't any better. When we go to our Ford dealership we pull up they open our door and they take over. Whatever needs to be done they do while you sit back and relax in the waiting area. Walker Ford pull up, explain why your there basically get ignored and told wait here and then be sent from one person to the next to the next, REALLY that is not customer service. Especially when you're treated like a third class citizen instead of being treated like one who just spent 35,000 on a vehicle from you. That's not including the extended warranty or the tire protection either, everything out the door close to 40,000 dollars. The guy who was replacing the lights even scratched the truck. He went to put the light in and it slid out of his hand and down the side, but we have lights. The windshield wiper component was fixed, luckily without any additional issues. As for the tires they were your responsibility to replace them prior to even selling this truck and you failed to do that. Ok, it got missed during inspection so when the problem was brought to your attention it should have been fixed, but instead we get told we did it...REALLY!!!!! Any person with any common sense knows that we didn't do it, Walker Ford just doesn't care, they made the sale. So if your looking to buy a vehicle and all you care about is the up front portion of their customer service you'll be great. If you come back after the ink is dry on the paperwork you get treated the complete opposite. The cookies really aren't worth the headache. One last note your team that sold us this truck knew we would be trading our Edge in and buying a brand new vehicle in March. They even said as we pulled off now when you're ready in March where will you be buying from and we said Walker Ford. Guess what, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Should you decide to make this right and replace at least the 4 rear tires please let me know, maybe just maybe this is a situation that can still be rectify. If not buyers beware of the used vehicles at Walker Ford. Please don’t reply with your typical response, I’ve read them and I don’t need an automatic reply. Sincerely, Very Upset Customer. More

In a nutshell, Tracy Affrunti rocks! Every time our car has an issue she saves us and gets our car fixed fast. When our current Expedition ran into mechanical issues she showed us how we would be better of has an issue she saves us and gets our car fixed fast. When our current Expedition ran into mechanical issues she showed us how we would be better off in a new car and worked out all the details for us on short notice, getting the current car appraised and finding the exact car we wanted from another dealer and getting us into the new car immediately. This was a lifesaver since we were down to one working car and with two working professionals. There was a lot of paperwork to go through but all of it was fast and easily explainable by Tracy and Brett. I also commend Walker Ford for honoring the X Plan. This is the second X Plan ford I have purchased and because it is available I always look at Ford vehicles first when looking for a new car because of the X Plan and since Walker honors X Plan I go there first as well. Did I tell you Tracy Affrunti rocks? She does, best car buying experience ever. Thank you all!! More
