Honestly, it is hard to know where to start. I initially dropped my vehicle off for a warranty transmission replacement in Sept. Of 2024. The initial swap went quickly and communication was good I initially dropped my vehicle off for a warranty transmission replacement in Sept. Of 2024. The initial swap went quickly and communication was good. However about 2 weeks after the repair my check engine light came on. I had it checked at my regular mechanic as I thought it was a fluke. To my surprise a transmission related error code populated so I contacted the dealership to let them know (I provided the code) and make a new appointment. My adviser never responded to my message so I called and spoke with someone else. They were unconcerned with my issue and told me a new appointment was months out. I was traveling over Thanksgiving so I offered to drop my vehicle off and hope they had some time to run the diagnostic while I was away. I recieved no updates during the week. I tried calling multiple times after 1 week of no communication and no one answered the phones or returned my messages. I went to the dealership to get the status of my car. To which they responded the CPU was bad and needed to be replaced (the code I got was transmission not CPU). I was notified it was unsafe to drive my car while we waited for parts so they kept my car and they did not provide a loaner for me. Luckily I was able to borrow a car...after 2 weeks I was given no updates, no ETA, and was still not offered a loaner. Thankfully I was able to borrow a vehicle; I cannot imagine what a rental would have cost me. After a month of my car in the shop it was ready for pick up. I drove no more than 10 miles down the road and the check engine light came back on (they assured me they test drove my car). I brought my vehicle back on a Saturday; a loaner was provided this time. I waited for 2 full weeks without a single update before reaching out to the dealership. They then communicated they had no ETA for me. I think I had the loaner for another 2 weeks before I got the call my car was ready. I gave permission to run an extended test drive of 100 miles...it was maybe test driven 20 miles. I drove my car for 1 to 2 weeks and the check engine light came on again. I needed an oil change so I asked them to run the diagnostic. I notified the dealership and provided the diagnostic info. No one called me back. I reached out to the Hopkins location to see if they could honor the warranty work and they scheduled an appointment. Hopkins was concerned why I switched locations but I explained that my service was very poor at Bloomington, so they agreed to take a look. Hopkins provided updates but after a week I saw my car was transferred back to bloomington. Confused I reached out to Hokins and they confirmed it was transferred and advised that bloomington should have reached out with an update. They did not, after waiting for it to come I called bloomington. Very little information was provided. I reached back out to Hopkins and they told me the initial transmission installed in my car was wrong. Why Hopkins could figure it out after 1 inspection when Bloomington had my car for several months was beyond me. Bloomington has since tried to get the correct transmission on order...and have recieved the wrong transmission for the 4th time. Not sure what is happening as the communication is very poor but I have not had my vehicle for going on 7 months And am extremely disappointed in the Bloomington Service department and warranty company.
