I've purchased two new Sonatas from Walser Hyundai within a 4 month period and had a great xperience both times. Low pressure with good service. My rep was relatively new, but was incredibly service oriented. Within two months after purchasing the first Sonata, a 2011, I had an accident and totaled the car. I returned to the dealership after receiving insurance money with the intent to buy another 2011, but they were completely sold out. My rep at Walser searched around the country for a 2011 to no avail. I decided to search for another make and model. After looking for a few days I decided I really wanted another Sonata, so I decided to wait until the 2012's came out. Since I'm cheap and my insurance didn't cover a loaner car, that meant I had to find temporary transportation for another couple of weeks. To avoid paying for a rental I borrowed vehicles from relatives for a week, but when the good will of my relatives ran out I asked Walser Hyundai if they would give me a courtesy car for a few days if I committed to purchasing a 2012 Sonata from them. I figured it was a long shot, but what harm in trying? To my surprise, they not only agreed, but instead of giving me the beater off the back of the lot, they loaned me a Hyundai Genesis, which if you're not familiar with it, is a very sweet ride. The 2012 took longer to arrive than expected, so I ended up driving the Genesis for a week. Needless to say, I am a big fan of my rep, Ryan, and the dealership. I think they went above and beyond the call of duty in my case. More
I had gone out car shopping and after reading reviews had decided on either a Hyundai Sonata or a Nissan Altima. My first stop was at Walser Brooklyn park to test drive the new 2012 Sonata. Frank was so acc decided on either a Hyundai Sonata or a Nissan Altima. My first stop was at Walser Brooklyn park to test drive the new 2012 Sonata. Frank was so accomodating and respectful with none of that high pressure sales pitch that unfortunately stereo-typed a car salesman. After test driving the Sonata I was given all the figures and in comes Kathy to make sure the I was able to get the monthly payment I wanted. I knew I didn't need to go any further and & shop the Nissan. This was the car I wanted and this was the company I wanted to have my business, Great job Frank!! Great job Kathy!! Frank showed us around, did a test drive with us and was extremely pleasant and helpful. Kathy was good with the appraisal on our trade in and other info. We came back the next day and delt with Ramel. Test drove another vehicle and did the deal. Both young men were so very helpful, pleasant and we did get the feeling that they all are truely a team and that everyone is there to work together and help the customer. They seemed to pass off info to other staff when they aren't there so you feel like they are expecting you. We didn't feel pressured and Ramel was so helpful. It was a very different experience from our last purchase 8 years ago at another dealer. We love the lowest price and what you pay...period (not playing the "run back to the manager game" to dicker with price and feeling like you are being taken advantage of). They are a pleasant, well mannered, neat, polite group. Very pleasant experience. Thank you! More
I came in before close on a Friday, was shown around by Ricky. I knew I wanted an Elantra because I liked how it looked but I had not driven it so I was instructed to come back in the morning to drive it. Ricky. Ryan was available right when I got there to help me out and I took the car for a test drive. He was very informative during the drive but also let me ask all of the questions I needed to. I fell in love with the car, proceeded to fill out the application and drove it home later that day. Ryan was very helpful and got everything done super quickly. If he didn't have an answer he would go to someone who did. Great experience at Walser Hyundai! More
'We purchased a 2011 Hyundai Sonata which now has just over 8,000 miles on it. We are very pleased with the vehicle as well as with our experience at Walser Hyundai. We came in with a very defensive attitude because of our experience at other dealerships. James Berrisford was very patient, above board, and knowledgeable. We liked the overall feel of the dealership- no pressure, and most of all- the window sticker pricing with discounts applied so we could compare immediatly without "dickering". We also felt the price was the best we had seen. Overall, we a very pleased with Walser Hyundai and will continue to be a customer! More
