I just wanted to say thank you to Walt Massey Chevrolet Hattiesburg for taking excellent care of my Mom this Friday. Her 2011 Impala had started to show signs of age and I recommended we start searchin Hattiesburg for taking excellent care of my Mom this Friday. Her 2011 Impala had started to show signs of age and I recommended we start searching for a replacement. At 15 years old and with 188,000 miles, we certainly got our money's worth out of it. My Mom is quite hard to shop for. She's a GM girl and has always expressed her disdain for the foreign manufacturers. She's also very budget-minded and old fashioned - she doesn't want a ton of screens or a "computer on wheels". She also didn't need a huge SUV that was oversized for her day-to-day. Knowing this, I felt that the recently redesigned Chevrolet Trax was a good fit for her budget and needs. I reached out Thursday to Walt Massey through their website after seeing they had a TON of new Trax on the ground. Turns out, the Trax is so popular that most dealers are waiting until mid-August for more of them. Walt Massey had around 40 sitting on the ground. I quickly got a call back from Carrie Robinson. From that initial call, I could tell that she was 100% committed to helping my mom find something that fit her needs and budget. We made an appointment for Friday morning, drove her trade to Hattiesburg, and we came home with what Mom wanted! Carrie was an amazing sales specialist. She knows her product and took amazing care to make sure my mom got just what she wanted, and not a lot of stuff she did not need. A lot of people complain about trips to the dealer taking all day, but I assure you that Carrie was trying her best to figure out what my Mom liked, what she didn't like, what she needed, what she didn't need, and all around just trying to find the best fit. Numerous times she would ask "Are you sure, Mrs. Henderson?" or "When you get home this evening and park in your driveway, will you be happy with this?" I had originally inquired about a white no-thrills LT but Mom was drawn to this beautiful Marina Blue Metallic LT with the Midnight Package (blacked-out bowties, badges and wheels) and Driver Convenience Group. Originally we felt the blue was a bit out of our range, but Mom was set on it, and Walt Massey made it happen for us. The showroom was a bit short-staffed Friday, but you would have never noticed it with Carrie. She was juggling multiple appointments and deals but did not make us feel unwelcome or brushed off at all - making sure we were making steady progress in our transaction and felt comfortable. Another sentimental moment to this purchase was that Marc, the general manager, was a finance manager back when this dealer was Ryan Chevrolet. He sold my father that same Impala new 15 years ago and was beyond overjoyed that we chose to come back and purchase again from him. This gratitude showed in his (as well as his staff's) treatment of my family and the deal they put together to ensure my Mom got what she wanted. I'm glad to see good folk's careers advance and can wholeheartedly recommend this dealer as one of the good ones. Oh, and just to add as another bonus in today's world - the price listed online was the price. That was it. No add-ons, no hidden junk. When we got in the showroom and saw the buyer's order, it was just the MSRP, Walt Massey's discount, a simple $425 doc fee and then her 5% sales tax and $10 MS title fee. More
