The overall experience was very good. I am not happy with a sneaky move. When we test drive the vehicle the check engine light was on. The salesman said it was on because of a safety issu I am not happy with a sneaky move. When we test drive the vehicle the check engine light was on. The salesman said it was on because of a safety issue that being the tail light was out. When we picked up the car the check engine light was off. As my son drove it home the engine light came on again. I took it to a Kia service to find the issue. They located the issue not related to the tail light. The mechanic said that the engine light was reset. It was reset on the morning we picked up the car. This is a clearly unprofessional and unethical. I will never do business with your company. I will let everyone I know on FB and social media what your company stands for regarding their customers. Make the sale no matter the cost. More

I was told I need rear control arms and that I was leaking oil from 3 places and repairs were going to cost $6800. I took my care elsewhere (after they had it for 20 days and didn’t start work on it u leaking oil from 3 places and repairs were going to cost $6800. I took my care elsewhere (after they had it for 20 days and didn’t start work on it until 1 week after I dropped it off). The charges me over $800 for diagnostic and car rental costs (that was after I refused to pay for the time my car was sitting and not being looked at). I took it to another mechanic who tested both control arms and found no problems and found that one of my gaskets needed tightening… no more leaking. He cleaned the entire area, drove the car and let it sit… still no oil. He did not that the pipe that runs the antifreeze was sweating and he replaced that… everything cost a whopping $258. I am thoroughly disappointed and I will not be back to Akers Ford. I felt lied to and taken advantage of. It’s really sad. More
