I purchased a Mazda 3 a few months ago from Wellesley Mazda and it was my first experience buying a new car. Andrew Schiffer made the entire process easy and enjoyable. Overall my experience at Wellesley Mazda was a very time consuming and frustrating experience. The ball was dropped heavily on the car pick up day (Friday) where i was told all the paperwork would be done b consuming and frustrating experience. The ball was dropped heavily on the car pick up day (Friday) where i was told all the paperwork would be done before I walked in the door, it was not. It was being started as I walked in on Friday. There were many holdups with the insurance company because GQ was unfamiliar with out of state insurance transferring to MA requirements and the duration of time it would take to finalize the process, he did his best to expedite the process but it was clear this would have been less painful if the work had been started 3 days earlier as was communicated by Krystal Miller before I walked out on the first day of purchase (Monday). The staff was friendly enough and apologized repeatedly for the frustrating experience and offered me a free second service appointment which i appreciate (but hardly worth the 8+ hours I was in the dealership between two days). I know GQ is new and hope this was a learning experience for him to not wait to the last minute to get the work done that was promised to the customer. I also want to note GQ took the time to tell me about his past driving history accumulating so many speeding tickets that he became borderline uninsurable - seemed very unprofessional thing to tell a customer and the fact that his business card says “anyone can drive a fast car, but not everyone can drive a car fast” leads me to believe he has not really learned his lesson of reckless driving. More
Gerald Quek demonstrated expertise in his knowledge of how Mazda compares to other top line vehicles. His knowledge in answering our questions was integral to our choosing a Mazda CX-9. I went into this dealership, had made an appt. online- walked in and immediately wasn't greeted by anyone for at least 10 mins while the staff continued to chat at the front desk. When finally get online- walked in and immediately wasn't greeted by anyone for at least 10 mins while the staff continued to chat at the front desk. When finally getting someone's attention- they had me waiting an additional 30 mins for my test drive that I again, had set up an appointment for. Finally, the salesman returned-AJ, and says they cant find the keys to the vehicle I am interested in that I had set up an appointment to test drive. I then asked can he physically show me it at the very least or can I see something else? To which he replied he would grab his manager, Cole. Cole came over and reiterated that they could not locate the keys and said AJ will reach out to me the following day to follow up and reschedule. I reached out to AJ this morning about setting up another time and still haven't heard anything- almost 5 hours later. I have a sales background and am all about positive customer service experiences and this truly was an embarrassing and disappointing display of operating a business. I wanted to buy that night and they sent me away without showing me ANYTHING else they had to offer BUT it must be because "they don't work on commission" according to AJ. They don't work on commission so therefore they disregard any sales leads. Corny. 10/10 do not recommend purchasing from this dealership. More
