At Wellesley Volkswagen we strive to meet or exceed client and consumer expectations each and every day. It appears in this case we have may have missed the mark. As a team we look at these opportunities to learn and improve our processes both in prospecting and with clients that take the time to visit our showroom. I do feel it is important to note that in this particular case, our BDC Manager Tito was in communication with you regarding the availability of the vehicle you were seeking to lease, a 2017 Golf GTI. Via phone he communicated that in order to better determine lease payments for this vehicle that we would need to you to fill out a credit application to determine which tier you qualified for. On 10/5/17 you replied to Tito stating that you had filled out the application to which he replied that our Finance team would review. There are certain times that we ask a consumer to visit our showroom to confirm they have driven and like the vehicle in question and recognizing you were from Norfolk, a short 30 minute ride we felt in this case that was the right course of action which would allow us to cover the leasing options in detail and to work to get you the best deal possible. In terms of the online pricing, we need to price our vehicles relative to market or we don’t get sales inquires via phone and email. Most area dealers that are on certificate programs such as TrueCar or Edmunds Price Promise which are intended to provide consumers with a “ frictionless” haggle free purchasing experience and Wellesley Volkswagen works very hard to make sure our pricing is relative to our competitors in the eastern Massachusetts area. We disclose pricing includes all applicable incentives that all buyers may not qualify for all incentives. At the end of the day, we regret that this experience left you with a negative impression of our dealership. We would like an opportunity to see if we can still help you find the right GTI and lease. If you are open to give us another chance, we would like to see what we can do help, if not, we obviously understand and will look to learn from your feedback.
