I had an excellent experience at Wellesley Volkswagen. I worked with Jens Albrecht and couldn’t have asked for a better Consultant. He was very attentive and worked efficiently to find what I was looking for. Jens is extremely knowledgable and great with communication. The leasing process was quick and seamless. I’m very happy with my 2019 Tiguan. I would confidently work with Jens and Wellesley VW again.

As an out of state customer searching for the perfect Golf TDI, I had contacted several dealerships within a 300 mile radius from me that had some in inventory. Wellesley VW was by far the most welcoming and transparent from start to finish. I had initially spoke to Meghan in internet sales who was kind enough to pull the car into a well lit service bay on a cold, rainy day to send me additional photos. When I had mentioned another dealer I had spoke to tried to add in a $1,400 ‘reconditioning fee’ on top of the listed price to get the TDI’s road ready again, she was just as shocked as I was and explained that that is not the case at Wellesley. She was transparent with me about pricing, didn’t try to rush me off the phone and made me feel comfortable to make the 2.5 hour drive to come see the car at the weekend.
Upon my arrival, I was greeted cordially by Andreas Becker who had the car pulled up front for me ready to test drive. Andreas, who is a German expat, myself and my girlfriend, who is fluent in German hit it off immediately, trading travel stories about our adventures in both Germany and the US. Talking to Andreas was like catching up with a long-lost friend we hadn’t seen in years. He allowed me to take the car on an extended test drive to ensure I felt fully comfortable with it, explaining all of the benefits of purchasing a certified TDI. Arriving back at the dealer, I explained I had wanted to make the purchase, and my down payment would be dependent on how good of a rate I could get. Andreas asked what I would feel comfortable paying and proceeded to talk to Rami, the Finance Director bringing back good news that they would be able to get me the deal I had wanted: no games, no playing hard-ball, no slick negotiating tactics.
While we waited for Rami to finish with another customer, Andreas brought us some pizza to keep our stomachs happy while we waited which was a pleasant surprise. As we chatted more and got to know Andreas, I knew we had made the right decision to come to Wellesley. Rami was also a great guy to talk to as we buttoned up the financing part of the transaction. Buying out of state in Massachusetts, you are not able to get temporary plates to drive the car home, so we arranged to meet at a Connecticut DMV to take care of registration. Andreas took time out of his day, when he could have been making sales, to drive my new car down to me so I didn’t have to make a trip back to the dealership. This personal touch was well noted when he could have sent a runner down to take care of this instead. We plan to stay in contact in the future and attend some events with him at his German club long after the sale!
I could not be happier with my decision to buy from Wellesley VW – they are welcoming, transparent, personable, respectful, and treat the customer like an old friend. It is well worth the trip for anyone out of state or further away in Mass to come here. I will definitely buy all of my future VW’s here.
