I am so disappointed in Wellesley VW. I purchased my Golf from them four years ago. It has only 15,000 miles on it. At the "4-year or 40,000-mile service" check last week, (which cost $700) I was told Golf from them four years ago. It has only 15,000 miles on it. At the "4-year or 40,000-mile service" check last week, (which cost $700) I was told that the "damaged front radar sensor needs to be replaced," at a cost of almost $1900! For a second opinion, I took it to the well-respected Boston VW service center, in Watertown, and learned after more than three hours of testing that there were NO faults indicated at all, and that it only needed a new bezel (guard) over the sensor because the bezel was bent. That new part cost $15, plus $180 in labor..a far cry from the $1900 that I felt I was being pushed toward at Wellesley VW (where I was even encouraged to call my insurance company that night to see if it was covered!) I can't help but feel that because I am an older women that I was being taken advantage of at Wellesley VW. Needless to say, that was my last visit. More

I needed Service for my car to go on a long trip South. I discussed with Karl the different options. He called me early in the day, we agreed on a plan given the tech's investigations. Drew Ricci was great. He helped me figure out a glitch with the VW Care maintenance plan on my Golf R so that I could use it at Wellesley VW. (I bought the car out of state and that dealer forgot to activ with the VW Care maintenance plan on my Golf R so that I could use it at Wellesley VW. (I bought the car out of state and that dealer forgot to activate the plan.) When the issue was fixed, he was super helpful and friendly in performing the 3 year maintenance and a couple other little things the car needed. In and out in a couple hours, and he checked in a couple times to update me. Not living in Wellesley, I have a few other dealers I could go to for service, and while I can't make comparisons, I've been really happy with the job the Wellesley team has done in the three years I've owned my (first) VW. This is a really well run service department. Excellent communication and follow up. Work is clearly articulated and the estimates are accurate. Drew and the team at Wellesley VW are great. Drew is easy to work with, does what he says he's going to do, and in the time he says he's going to do it. I trust Drew to take care of my vehicle and to do so i to work with, does what he says he's going to do, and in the time he says he's going to do it. I trust Drew to take care of my vehicle and to do so in an honest and upfront manner. It was a refreshing experience taking my car to Wellesley VW and I will gladly make the extra drive from my house in Boston to service it here. More
