They ran my car through the car wash with the windows open so I had to dry out the car when I got home. Car Update: Still No Resolution! I still don’t have a working car in my possession! Despite being in touch with an executive at Morgan Auto Group, the general manager of the deale I still don’t have a working car in my possession! Despite being in touch with an executive at Morgan Auto Group, the general manager of the dealership has unilaterally decided to fix the car—dropping in a $12,000+ engine and rewiring the entire computer system. That’s not what I want! What I’ve consistently requested is simple: refund my money, reverse the loan, and take back the car. Here’s the timeline: • I purchased this vehicle on September 14, 2024. • By September 15, 2024, I discovered significant oil issues and immediately contacted the dealership’s general manager. Now, they’re forcing this car back on me instead of honoring my request as a customer, which feels suspicious. ** The state of Georgia as a November 26, 2024 has still yet to receive title and registration from the dealership! This makes 2 1/2 months and my second temporary tag is now expired! How hard is it? This is not my first time buying a car out of state!!! Thankfully, there’s progress on the legal and investigative front: • The Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Department began a federal investigation two weeks ago, which should be closing soon. Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles • The Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) started their investigation last week. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) • The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the United States Attorney’s Office for Florida are also investigating. Federal Trade Commission The U.S. Department of the Treasury (the insurance company never went out to evaluate the situation. They literally just close the claim the adjuster admitted! That’s illegal.) U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida In the meantime, my life is at a standstill: • Groceries are expensive to have delivered. • This ordeal has left me stranded. • The loan is still being reported negatively on my credit—yes, I’ve reported that too. I’ve been adamant since September that I do not want this car. It’s unacceptable that no one from the automotive group has personally reached out to resolve this. I’m grateful to: • The federal agencies, my local police department, and Jim Ellis Hyundai of Atlanta, • And ALL of the attorneys helping me navigate this nightmare. This has been an exhausting journey, but I won’t stop until they make me whole again!!!!! Better Business Bureau @highlight #mayorjanecastor Senator Reverend Raphael Warnock #tampabay #florida More
